After A Strong Second Half, Jordan Love Looks For More in 2024
The 2024 Jordan Love Season Odds Has the Green Bay Packers QB as an MVP Candidate

Young Pass Catchers and Blockers Hold the Key For Love and the Packers
Green Bay Packers fans were getting a little antsy when the first season following the departure of former MVP Aaron Rodgers began with five losses in the first seven games.
Jordan Love began to heat up as Green Bay fought its way into the playoffs and that is something to consider when looking at the 2024 Jordan Love season odds.
Coming off a season when he threw for 4159 and 32 touchdowns, the NFL expert picks have Love tied for sixth at +1200 in the regular-season Most Valuable Player odds.
While Detroit is favored to win the NFC North Division for the second season in a row, Love and the Packers could easily be in the playoffs once again.
It remains to be seen how many snaps Love sees in the three preseason games as Green Bay plays the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and the Baltimore Ravens in the three games during the preseason before opening up the regular season against a Philadelphia Eagles team expected to contend for the NFC championship.
Green Bay is fifth at +800 in the odds of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. Green Bay has -115 odds to go either over or under 10 wins during the regular season after going 9-8 a season ago. The Packers were 6-6 outright as an underdog. They did cover in eight of those games.
Love is Looking To Build On Strong Finish
Love only topped 300 yards on two occasions in the 2023 regular season and one has to wonder what might have happened if Love had the chance to make more plays against San Francisco in a three-point playoff loss.
Receivers Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs are all 25 or younger. Tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tyler Kraft could be more involved in the passing game after moments of brilliance as rookies.
Four of the top six players in receiving yards for the Packers a season ago were rookies so obviously there were some growing pains for both the pass catchers and Love.
When looking at the 2024 Jordan Love season odds, keep in mind that Love had seven touchdown passes and no interceptions over the last three games as the Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Chicago Bears to make it into the playoffs.
Love had three touchdowns and no interceptions in a win over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoff opener before falling to San Francisco 24-21.
We Must Protect the Quarterback
Green Bay used the 25th overall pick on former University of Arizona offensive lineman Jordan Morgan. Josh Myers, Elgton Jenkins, Zach Tom, Rasheed Walker, Royce Newman, and Sean Rhyan are other linemen taken by the Packers in recent NFL Drafts as the Packers have revamped the offensive line. Love was sacked 30 times during the regular season. If that number goes down, that will help the 2024 Jordan Love season odds.
When given time to throw, Love has proven he can get the job done.
The question is whether the training wheels will be coming off and Love will be able to cut it loose and lead the Packers.
Running back Josh Jacobs comes in from the Las Vegas Raiders as Aaron Jones is no longer with the Packers. How will the arrival of Jacobs impact the offensive play calling? That is one of the questions that needs to be answered this season.
What To Expect from Jordan Love?
Love comes in at +1400 in the odds of leading the NFL in passing yards during the 2024 season. That puts him ahead of Buffalo’s Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets, San Francisco’s Brock Purdy, Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers, and No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and many others.
When taking a peek at the NFL stats leaders, only Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa, Jared Goff, Dak Prescott, and Brock Purdy had more passing yards and a better passer rating than Love during the 2023 season.
Love averaged more yards per attempt than multiple-time MVP and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
It won’t be a surprise to see Love top his numbers in passing yards and touchdown passes, especially if he improves his 64.2% completion percentage.
What to Expect from Green Bay
Green Bay jumps right into the fray with a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil in the season opener with Philadelphia currently favored by 1.5 points according to the NFL point spreads.
There will be chances to pick up wins with the next five games coming against the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, and Arizona Cardinals. Expect to see Green Bay favored in all of those games.
The degree of difficulty will pick up after that with games against the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Detroit Lions. The last of those games could be the most important one.
Detroit is the current favorite at +150 in the odds of winning the NFC North Division title with Green Bay not far behind at +200.
Green Bay is tied for ninth at +1800 in the odds of winning the Super Bowl. The Packers only play three teams with shorter odds of winning the Super Bowl during the regular season.
