Can D’Andre Swift Exceed Expectations on His New Team?
2024 D'Andre Swift Season Odds, Predictions and More

The 2024 D’Andre Swift Season Odds are in and we are going to take a look at his past as one of the Philadelphia Eagles players and see what we can predict for his season with his new team the Chicago Bears. Swifts’ odds opened at total rushing yards 800.5 and total touchdowns 5.5 (over -125, under +100). The odds have greatly dipped since then and now the line on FanDuel is 700.5. DraftKings has the line at 750.5. Such a big gap between books is interesting, but things are in flux with the Bears at the moment. His touchdown line on FanDuel is still 5.5 with the over at +110 and under at -140.
Although Swift was fifth in the league in rushing yards last season, he has dropped down the list of potential backs to lead the league in rushing yards. Here is where he stands amongst the top backs to lead the league in rushing yards:

The Chicago Bears signed Swift to a 3-year, $24.5 million deal this offseason. This is the first significant move the Bears made during the free agency period, and it signifies their intention to improve their running game. Last season, Swift rushed for over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and was selected to his first Pro Bowl. However, it is unclear how the workload will be shared between Swift, Khalil Herbert, and Roschon Johnson.
The Bears’ new offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron, relied heavily on one running back in Seattle last season, so how the carries are distributed will be something to watch throughout the training camp. While some may view this signing as a big financial commitment for a running back, the Bears had significant salary cap space to work with, and the contract reflects the current market value for free-agent running backs.

Let’s dive into the 2024 D’Andre Swift Season Odds and see what we think is best for our future NFL best bets and any midseason NFL picks against the spread.
Career So Far
We can learn a lot about the 2024 D’Andre Swift season odds by looking at the seasons he’s had in the past. Swift is a dual threat on the offensive end with running and catching ability out of the backfield. In his four year career he has amassed 2,729 rushing yards for 23 touchdowns, and 1,412 receiving yards for eight touchdowns.
Last season with the Eagles he was an absolute monster. He was fifth in the league in total rushing yards with 1,049 on 229 carries. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry, equal to his career average. Before last season, on the Detroit Lions, Swift was never able to eclipse the 1000 yard rushing mark, going for 521 yards in his rookie season (with a career high eight touchdowns), 617 yards in his second season, and 542 yards in his last season as a Lion.
Obviously coming off a 1000 yard rushing season as part of one of the NFL’s best teams, expectations for Swift have significantly dropped. That being said, it is starting to look like he may be the top running back in Chicago, with an offensive coordinator who likes to rely on the run.
Crowded Backfield Or Not?
With Swift poised to take over the starting running back role for the Chicago Bears in 2024, Khalil Herbert’s status on the team is in question.
There are rumblings that a trade for Khalil Herbert, the Bears’ previous starter, could be in the works. While Herbert has shown talent with over 600 yards rushing in each of the past two seasons, Swift’s arrival pushes him down the depth chart. With Roschon Johnson also vying for backup snaps, Herbert becomes an attractive trade piece for teams needing running back depth.
Herbert’s departure could be a huge opportunity for Swift to hit the over on his rushing props.
The Books’ Big Shifts
It is unclear why the odds have shifted so hard on Swifts’ props for this season. The 2024 D’Andre Swift season odds seem a little low for us. For a back coming off a 1000 yard season, having a line of 700 or 750 yards while he remains the number one option seems low. Take a look at what type of line you can get, but below 750 yards seems prime to take the over.
