Can DeAndre Hopkins Go Over 1000 Yards Again For The Titans?
The 2024 Deandre Hopkins Season Props Could Be Impacted By Offseason Acquisitions
Veteran Receiver DeAndre Hopkins Eyeing Another 1000-Yard Season With Tennessee
After playing a combined 19 games in his final two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, DeAndre Hopkins got onto the field for all 17 games in his first year with Tennessee. After Hopkins recorded his first 1000-yard season since 2020, let’s take a look at the 2024 DeAndre Hopkins season props.
Tennessee is committed to second-year quarterback Will Levis. Two of Hopkins’ three 100-yard games during the 2023 season took place with Levis at quarterback.
Tennessee has the longest odds of +850 to win the AFC South title as it is not looking good for Hopkins to appear in the playoffs for the first time since the 2019 season. Tennessee is priced at +400 to make the playoffs with only the Carolina Panthers having longer odds of winning the Super Bowl according to the Super Bowl prop bets.
Tennessee begins the regular season as a 4.5-point underdog on the road against the Chicago Bears on September 8. Keep that in mind when it comes to the NFL bets this week.
Hopkins is due to earn more than $18 million this season. He will be a free agent at the end of the 2024 season so he has incentive to put up big numbers so teams might consider adding a 30-something receiver in 2025.
Hopkins Due For A Drop in Production?
It is interesting that with Tennessee moving on from star running back Derrick Henry, that the 2024 DeAndre Hopkins season props are calling for Hopkins to fall short of last year’s numbers when he had 75 catches for 1047 receiving yards.

He is priced at -110 to go either over or under 875.5 yards and some of that could be attributed to the fact that defenses won’t load the box to try to stop new Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard as was the case when Henry got to carry the ball.
Even though Hopkins had fewer dropped passes on 137 targets in 2023 than he did on 96 passes through his way in 2022, he only caught 54.7% of the passes when he was the intended receiver. He was typically around 70% during his first three NFL seasons when he was one of the most productive receivers in the NFL.
There are 21 quarterbacks ahead of Levis in the odds of leading the NFL in passing yards so the jury is still out on the Tennessee passing game.
More Mouths To Feed In Tennessee Passing Game
Signing Tony Pollard after he was a two-time 1000-yard rusher with the Dallas Cowboys was not the only move that the Titans made to address the offense.
Tyler Boyd was signed to a one-year contract after spending his first eight NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Calvin Ridley, a 1000-yard receiver last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was also signed by Tennessee in the offseason. The projections for Ridley are similar to the 2024 DeAndre Hopkins season props.
What does Year 2 have in store for Will Levis?

Pollard also figures to be utilized more in the passing game than Henry was during his time with the Titans.
Pollard had a career-high 55 receptions for the Cowboys during the 2023 season.
Former first-round pick Treylon Burks and tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo could see bigger roles this season as well. It will be interesting to not only see the growth of Levis in his first full season as the Tennessee starting quarterback but also what the role is for Hopkins in his second year with the Titans.
Hopkins Has Something to Prove
Hopkins recently celebrated his 32nd birthday as he heads into his 12th NFL season. The top receivers in the NFL tend to be in their 20s. The receiver who was 32 or older with the most receiving yards in 2023 was Adam Thielen of the Carolina Panthers who was 26th with 1014 receiving yards.
Hopkins was the second receiver and 27th overall player chosen in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Clemson. The only players chosen ahead of him still in the NFL are offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Justin Pugh.
He is one of three players drafted in 2013 with more than 900 career catches joining Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Keenan Allen, who joins the Chicago Bears after spending his entire career with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers.
Tavon Austin was the first receiver chosen in the 2013 NFL Draft and he hasn’t played in the NFL since 2021.
Hopkins leads all active NFL players with 928 career receptions and that ties him for 21st on the career list with Antonio Brown. Kelce is only 21 catches behind so he may lose the distinction of being the active receptions leader at some point.
Another 75-catch season would make Hopkins the 15th player in NFL history with at least 1000 career catches during the regular season. He needs 692 yards to move ahead of Jason Witten and into 20th place on the career receiving yards list. With seven more touchdown catches, he would be tied for 19th on the career charts.
A Reasonable Schedule for Hopkins and Titans
Tennessee only has three games in the regular season against teams that finished in the top 10 in passing defense last season so perhaps there will be a good chance for improvement in the Tennessee passing game this season.
The New York Jets were second in passing defense in 2023, allowing 168.3 yards allowed per game with Buffalo finishing seventh and Green Bay ending ninth.
The matchup with the Jets comes in Week 2 with the host Titans listed as a four-point underdog. That is followed by another home game against Green Bay. Keep those matchups in mind when it comes to the NFL best bets.
The preseason schedule for Tennessee begins on Aug. 10 against defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers followed by matchups with the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints.
The final game of the regular season will come against the Houston Texans, the team that Hopkins began his NFL career with.
