Corum Hopes To Hit the Ground Running with Rams
The 2024 Blake Corum Season Odds Are a Bit on the Low Side

Can Blake Corum Cut Into Kyren Williams’ Workload During His Rookie Season with the Rams?
After passing up the chance to enter the 2023 NFL Draft so he could help Michigan win the national championship, Blake Corum landed in Los Angeles to play for a Rams NFL team that didn’t bring back two of its top four rushers.
With Corum likely to compete for the No. 2 running back slot with the Rams, the 2024 Blake Corum season odds are pretty underwhelming.
Corum was the third running back selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. That usually results in being picked late in the first or second round.
Instead, Corum was a third-round selection. Corum, taken with the 83rd overall pick, was the first offensive NFL player selected by the Rams with the first two picks being used on Florida State defensive linemen Jared Verse and Braden Fiske.
- The Rams are tied for 12th at +2500 in the odds of winning the Super Bowl with the odds opening at +3000.
The Rams have -115 odds to make the NFL playoffs with +360 odds to win the NFC West title for the second time in the last four seasons. Five teams have shorter odds of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Before going with Corum in the NFL parlay picks, it might be wise to check out how Corum looks in the preseason games that the Los Angeles Rams play against the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Chargers (coached by Corum’s college head coach Jim Harbaugh), and the Houston Texans.
- The NFL point spreads have the Rams as a 3.5-point road underdog against the Detroit Lions in the season opener on Sept. 8.
Corum Joins A Crowded Running Back Room
On the surface, it doesn’t appear as if Corum is walking into the best situation when it comes to the 2024 Blake Corum season odds.
- Kyren Williams is coming off a 1000-yard season when he averaged five yards per carry and rushed for 12 touchdowns.
He joined Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers as the only player in 2023 to rush for more than 1000 yards with at least 10 scoring runs while averaging at least five yards per carry.
The numbers were even more impressive considering that Williams missed five games.
The No. 2 rusher on last year’s Rams’ team had 77 carries so it remains to be seen how the workload shakes out in Los Angeles.
- Corum is currently at +100 to go over 500.5 rushing yards. He is third among running backs at +6000 to be the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Royce Freeman and Darrell Henderson are not returning but the Rams did bring in Boston Scott from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Zach Evans and Ronnie Rivers are other running backs to keep an eye on for the Rams as they finished 11th in the NFL with an average of 120.3 rushing yards per game during the 2023 season.

Will The Rams Get Passing Grades?
With Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua leading the list of pass catchers, don’t look for the Rams to be a run-first offense.
Tight end Tyler Higbee is heading into his ninth season with the Rams. Matthew Stafford could be nearing the end of his NFL career and he will certainly have chances to air things out. That could impact the 2024 Blake Corum season odds.
- Nacua is priced at +110 to go over 1200.5 receiving yards with Kupp a little undervalued with -110 odds to exceed 950.5 yards.
If they both go over 1000 yards as does Williams, how many carries does that leave for Corum?
Corum figures to be featured more frequently as a rookie than Williams was as the former Notre Dame star had 35 rushing attempts in 10 carries as a rookie.Learn How to bet on Props
Corum Had Quite The Run with the Wolverines
The Michigan star made his presence known with two short scoring runs against rival Michigan State as a freshman. He went over 100 yards in each of the first three games during the 2022 season and that included back-to-back three-touchdown games against Washington and Northern Illinois.
- However, he missed two games and had just 15 carries in the last four games he played in as a sophomore as he fell 48 yards short of a 1000-yard season.
The running back was enjoying one of his best seasons for Michigan in 2023 before being injured early in a win over Ohio State.
He did not play in the Big Ten title game or the College Football Playoff loss to Texas Christian. Still, he rushed for 1,463 yards and 18 touchdowns. He finished seventh in the 2022 Heisman Trophy voting.
Corum had at least one touchdown in each of the 15 games he played in during the 2023 season when he ran for 27 NFL scores and 1245 yards to help Michigan win the national title.
He also had a TD catch versus Alabama in the CFP semifinals as he was ninth in the 2023 Heisman voting.

A Look At the Schedule
It will be an interesting start to the 2024 season for Corum. The first three of the first four regular-season games come against the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, and Chicago Bears.
Those teams finished second, third, and first in the NFL in rushing defense last season. It will be worth monitoring how that impacts the Los Angeles Rams’ standings.
The Rams play eight games against teams that finished in the top 10 in rushing defense in 2023. They play six versus teams in the bottom 10 in rushing yards allowed per game.
Opening the regular season in the state where he enjoyed success as a college running back in a nice way for Corum to get his NFL career going.
Corum had 15 games with more than 100 rushing yards at Michigan. He ran for at least two touchdowns in 18 games. Time will tell if he accomplishes either of those feats as a rookie with the Rams.
