NFL 2024 Preview Week 4: Bills vs Ravens Highlights Slate

The fourth week of the 2024 NFL season gives us a couple of decent games and a big one between Buffalo and Baltimore. There are just a couple of ‘marquee’ games this week, so the slate is a little less appealing from a fan’s perspective. From a bettor’s perspective, it’s looking like a good week for a few teasers. The NFL 2024 Week 4 preview will run down the week’s games.

The betting odds NFL Week 4 have the Cowboys as slightly smaller favorites than anticipated. Dallas is coming off a big game with Baltimore just four days earlier, which likely played a part in that.

It’s hard to consider the series a rivalry any longer, seeing Dallas win 13 of the last 14 games. New York is returning home after a pair of road games. The Cowboys have to get the nod right now.

The Colts and Steelers help kick things off on Sunday where Indianapolis is a small favorite. Pittsburgh has a favorable schedule to begin the season, so the Steelers should be at least 2-1 in the NFL standings. The Colts have back-to-back division games up next, with trips to Jacksonville and Tennessee.

The play of Anthony Richardson will be key for Indianapolis, which doesn’t have the depth of some other NFL teams. The NFL Week 4 point spreads suggest using the Steelers in a teaser and pushing the line past a touchdown.

Caleb Williams makes his second home start after spending the two previous weeks on the road. Chicago will be home the next three weeks. The Rams are coming off a game with the 49ers and have Green Bay on tap, so this isn’t the greatest of spots.

This is another game where the NFL odds suggest a teaser play on the underdog, but this could be a letdown spot for Los Angeles. The way to look at this one could be the under.

This is obviously a huge revenge game for the Eagles, who were thumped by Tampa Bay in the NFL playoffs last season. If you want to back Philadelphia you’re going to pay, as the NFL Week 4 opening lines have the Eagles -3.

The Eagles do have Cleveland up next, but these are the types of games you don’t look past. The Bucs have a fair chance at starting out 2-1 entering this game, which could be a decent one. Philadelphia won’t be held to single digits this time and the over 47 might be the way to go here.

It’s hard to tell who will be quarterbacking the Vikings at this point. JJ McCarthy should become the starting QB during the year, if not in training camp. It’s unlikely he’ll ride the bench for several years like Jordan Love. Minnesota is one of the great unknowns entering the season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Minnesota pull off one of the NFL Week 4 upsets. It also wouldn’t be a shock to see Minnesota get thumped. The Packers are a little more predictable and should have a decent team once again. The Packers will likely be a popular teaser play in this spot.

The NFL 2024 preview Week 4 shows the Jets are one of two favorites of more than a touchdown this week. New York is another team that will be used in teasers. The Jets will also be used in some NFL Week 4 confidence picks contests. Denver looks to be in a bit of a rebuild after the Russell Wilson experience didn’t pan out as expected.

Bo Nix could be a solid NFL quarterback, it’s a matter of when. Aaron Rodgers looks to rebound after missing nearly the entire season, which might not be easy at his age. Still, the Jets are the better team and you can’t fault anybody using them in a teaser.

The Saints are coming off back-to-back games with Philadelphia and Dallas, so there’s a good chance they’ll be 1-2 in the NFL standings entering this game. The Falcons could also be 1-2 with the Eagles and Kansas City on their early schedule.

It’s a little surprising to see the NFL Week 4 point spread at Atlanta -3.5, as Falcons -3 seems like a better number. This is one of those games that appears to be capable of going either way. With a couple of veteran quarterbacks, the over 44.5 might offer a bit of value in the contest.

This one could turn out to be a pretty decent game in the AFC South. The schedule makers didn’t do the Jags any favors, as they open with Miami, Cleveland and Buffalo. Houston faced the Colts, Bears and Vikings. This could turn out to be a bigger game down the road.

Jacksonville’s schedule gets a bit easier after this. The Texans have Buffalo next week. This is one of the better NFL Week 4 matchups, but not the easiest of games from a handicapping perspective. Jacksonville could offer the most value if the team isn’t too beat up after the last couple of NFL games.

The 2024 NFL Week 4 odds have the Bengals just under a touchdown, ensuring they’ll be used in plenty of teasers. Cincinnati wasn’t bad last year despite missing Joe Burrow a chunk of the season. They’re expected to be better this season and they’ll have to be in a tough division.

The Panthers suffered some growing pains last season and should be a little better this season. It’s a question if that translates to more wins or not. The Bengals in a teaser makes a lot of sense in this spot.

This looks to be the biggest mismatch among all of the NFL Week 4 matchups, as the Patriots visit the 49ers. San Francisco will be used in teasers, NFL Week 4 confidence picks and for best NFL bets of the week.

The schedule isn’t easy in the beginning of the year for the Patriots, who will be hard-pressed to win more than a game through their first seven contests. San Francisco is returning home after two road games. This game is between a pair of division games, but the 49ers shouldn’t have any problems.

Jayden Daniel and the Commanders make the cross-country trip to face Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. This one could be an entertaining game and we could see some huge NFL Week 4 stats being put up. The Commanders will be a more exciting team this season, but are hitting a rough patch in the schedule.

Washington is coming off a game with Cincinnati and has Cleveland and Baltimore up next, so this may be their best chance to get a win. Arizona travels to San Francisco next week, so they’ll be going all-out for the win. Take the over 45 in this one.

The NFL 2024 preview Week 4 sees the Chiefs as small road favorites here and a total a little bit lower than expected. The over/under makes sense, however, in light of Kansas City’s 7-14 record a year ago counting the postseason.

It’s hard to go against Kansas City here when the spread is small and Patrick Mahomes is still one of the best NFL quarterbacks 2024. The Chargers need Justin Herbert to bounce back and stay in the line-up.

Another decent contest, as Cleveland makes the journey to Sin City. The Raiders played quite a bit better in Las Vegas than they did on the road a year ago.

The Browns are a solid team in a tough division and need wins in these types of games. Las Vegas is coming off what should be a home win against Carolina and should give a decent effort. The Week 4 NFL spreads are calling for using the Raiders in a teaser and pushing the line to +8.5.

The best game on the NFL Week 4 schedule sees Buffalo visiting Baltimore in a battle of AFC heavyweights. The Ravens are coming off Dallas and have Cincinnati up next, but it won’t matter here. Baltimore will be fired up for a home night game against Buffalo.

The Bills won in 2021 and 2022, but the teams didn’t play each other last season. The 2021 game was in the playoffs. Both teams are in tough divisions, so the game takes on added meaning. It’s hard to go against the Ravens in this one.

We have another one of the Week 4 matchups that lends itself to a teaser play, with Miami just needing to win the game when teased. The Dolphins’ home stats were a little skewed last season after scoring 70 points against Denver.

Miami is coming off a road game in Seattle and travels to New England next, so should be primed for a decent showing. The Titans are coming off back-to-back home games with the Packers and Jets. The Dolphins in a teaser looks to be the way to play this one.

The NFL 2024 preview Week 4 shows Seahawks and Lions wrapping things up. The Lions are favored by 6, so there will be a number of Miami/Detroit teasers played tonight. Detroit does have Dallas up next. Seattle is a decent team and may be able to hang with the Lions if the offense is clicking.

Seattle has won the last five games played between these two, including last year and a playoff game in 2022. The last three games have seen a minimum of 68 points, so an over under NFL Week 4 play on the over makes sense.
