NFL Super Bowl Winners

The NFL Super Bowl is the pinnacle of a great football team, and today we are going to talk about a few of the most recent winners. It is the ultimate compliment to win a ring and be the last football team standing, and we will discuss some of them today.

2022: Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams were able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl winners after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 and won the NFL Super Bowl inside of their home stadium. They were able to trade away draft picks in order to secure veteran players like quarterback Matt Stafford and linebacker Von Miller. It became a saying in Los Angeles to just go and say “F them picks” as they realized proven talent will help them win more than late 20 picks in the NFL Draft.

Another huge thing was the emergence of wide receiver Cooper Kupp as he won the NFL Triple Crown as he led the sport in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Matt Stafford was an incredible quarterback as he was top four with a 63.8 QBR, 41 passing touchdowns, and 4.886 passing yards in his first year in Los Angeles. Los Angeles was able to win as the favorite for the Super Bowl odds.

2021: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One thing that will never be forgotten is the fact Tom Brady left the New England Patriots and joined a solid core of players in Tampa Bay, making them lead the way in Super Bowl predictions. They became the first team in history to win the NFL Super Bowl in their home stadium as it took place in Raymond James Stadium. Players followed Brady down to Tampa as tight end Rob Gronkowski came out of retirement to play, and they signed wide receiver Antonio Brown during the season to join a loaded receiver group with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

They were able to dominate in the Super Bowl as their defense applied pressure consistently to Patrick Mahomes and were able to dominate with a 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Even with the Coronavirus limiting fans inside some buildings and putting games at all different points of the week, this was a well-deserved win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady winning his seventh championship ring.

2020: Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs had a great roster led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won the MVP Award the season before. They built a roster with incredible offensive play that would just outscore their opponents. They had a nice 1-2 punch in wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce leading the charge. Mahomes dominated in the postseason as he threw 10 touchdowns to two interceptions in their three games during the playoffs.

Kansas City picked up a 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers as they scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for the comeback victory. Mahomes did not play necessarily well as he finished just 26-of-42 for 286 yards with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions but also was able to run in a touchdown of his own.
