NFL Week 10 Preseason Preview: League Heads to Germany

Week Begins With Cincinnati vs Baltimore

There are a couple of pretty decent games on this week’s NFL schedule. There is also the usual assortment of less than enticing matchups. One matchup is so bad the NFL apparently didn’t want the game played on U.S. soil, as the Giants face the Panthers in Munich, Germany.

Since both teams are bad, it could be somewhat evenly matched and at least a close contest. It’s time for a look at all of the week’s games in NFL Week 10 preseason preview.

Bengals logo Bengals vs Ravens Ravens logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Baltimore -3
Total: 46

The week begins on a high note, with one of the better games on the Week 10 schedule. The Ravens are favored by 3 in the rematch of the Week 5 game in Cincinnati. Baltimore was 5-3 as a home favorite last year, so it’s a role it can handle.

The NFL lines for Week 10 might be a shade low here, but it’s not bad. If Cincinnati won the first game, you have to give Baltimore a good look here.

Giants logo Giants vs Panthers Panthers logo(Germany)

Day/Time:
Odds: New York -1
Total: 42.5

Obviously, this game leaves a little to be desired from a fan’s perspective. Only the diehard football fans and bettors will be setting their alarms on the West Coast to wake-up for this one. The Giants aren’t going to be favored often this season, although this is one of those times.

This game also isn’t the greatest from a betting perspective. If you really want to play it, the best move is to probably make an NFL Week 10 over under play on the under 42.5.

Vikings logo Vikings vs Jaguars Jaguars logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Jacksonville -3
Total: 44.5

This is one of the more interesting NFL matchups this week. Neither team is getting much respect in the offseason, but both have the potential to surprise. Minnesota has a solid receiving group, although getting the ball to them is the biggest concern.

Just as few people believed Minnesota was as good it looked in 2022, the Vikings weren’t as bad as their record last season. This year’s schedule is one of the toughest in the league, however. The Jaguars can be in the mix for the playoffs, although they’ll need to stay healthy.

Jacksonville appears to have a better chance of being good and that’s the way to look here.

Falcons logo Falcons vs Saints Saints logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Atlanta -1
Total: 44.5

Atlanta is getting a lot of respect this offseason after signing Kirk Cousins. Having the easiest schedule in the NFL for 2024 doesn’t hurt a bit, either. These two teams played back on Week 4, so be sure to check the NFL football scores of that one.

New Orleans could offer some value here if it lost the first game, but the NFL trends this week are enough to keep you away from the Saints. New Orleans is on a 1-7 ATS run as a home underdog. The over has a little bit of appeal in this game with both quarterbacks capable of making big throws.

Steelers logo Steelers vs Commanders Commanders logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Pittsburgh -1.5
Total: 43.5

The NFL Week 10 preseason preview moves to what could turn out to be a decent contest between Pittsburgh and Washington. The Steelers are favored by 1.5, which automatically makes the Commanders a possible teaser play. That will likely be determined by the health of Jayden Daniels, who has loads of talent and a horrible offensive line blocking for him.

The Steelers play a brutal schedule this season, which is probably the toughest in the NFL. These are games Pittsburgh needs to win to have any hopes of making the postseason. The under 43.5 should be given some consideration here with the Steelers coming off a bye.

49ers logo 49ers vs Buccaneers Buccaneers logo

Day/Time:
Odds: San Francisco -5
Total: 46.5

San Francisco is a road favorite coming off its bye week, which has historically been a good situation for the under. Dating back to the 2010 season, road favorites off a bye were 35-52 (40.2%) in totals. It could be a fair spot for one of your NFL best bets this week.

The Buccaneers are heading into their bye week, so the defense should give a decent effort in hopes of getting an extra day or two off. The under is one of the decent NFL trends in action in several games this week.

Broncos logo Broncos vs Chiefs Chiefs logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Kansas City -9
Total: 46

There’s little doubt the Chiefs are going to be a big play in the NFL confidence picks this week. The best thing the Broncos have going for them is Kansas City has a big game at Buffalo next week. The Chiefs could be looking ahead to that one.

This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season and the first time they’ve played since Denver pulled off the upset last year. The Broncos win snapped a 16-game losing streak to Kansas City. This game should start a new losing streak.

Even with Buffalo on tap, the Chiefs are worth a small play against the NFL Week 10 Las Vegas odds.

Patriots logo Patriots vs Bears Bears logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Chicago -5.5
Total: 43

The big storyline here will be the two rookie quarterbacks. There’s no guarantee Drake Maye will be starting for the Patriots.

New England needs to do what’s best long-term for their future quarterback. If that means sitting most of his rookie season, that’s what needs to be done. The Patriots will throw him into the line-up when he’s ready. Caleb Williams has already been named the Chicago starter, so for better or for worse, that’s who the Bears are going with.

Chicago will get some teaser action here, with the shift essentially turning the Bears into one of the NFL Week 10 straight-up picks.

Bills logo Bills vs Colts Colts logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Buffalo -2
Total: 46.5

A pretty decent game here, although a little surprised the Bills are favored by three. Depending on how Anthony Richardson plays, the latest NFL line could be a bit higher when game week rolls around. Buffalo appears to be more of a proven team.

You know the Bills will be good. The Colts could go either way. Indianapolis is another team who will be popular in teasers from the ‘wise guys,’ as the spread will be moved to more than a touchdown. It’s far easier to take the Colts +8 than it is to take them as a traditional NFL Week 10 ATS play.

Titans logo Titans vs Chargers Chargers logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Los Angeles -4
Total: 43.5

The late games kick off with the Titans visiting the Chargers. Even though LA is favored by just four points, it’s one of the bigger NFL Week 10 point spreads. The Chargers were just 2-3 as a home favorite last year, although not much went right for the team in 2023.

Tennessee is still in the midst of its rebuilding phase and could struggle at times this year. The Titans weren’t very good on the road last year, going 1-6 straight-up and 2-5 ATS as an away underdog. It’s easier to make a case for the home team than the road team here.

Eagles logo Eagles vs Cowboys Cowboys logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Dallas -2
Total: 48

The NFL Week 10 preseason preview has the best of the afternoon Sunday games here. Dallas and Philadelphia meet for the first time this season, with Dallas instilled as small favorites.

The Cowboys were undefeated at home during the regular season, but lost to Green Bay in the playoffs. It’s the first of two tough home home games for Dallas, who host Houston next Monday night.

The Eagles are going to battle for the division title and are capable of pulling off one of the NFL Week 10 upsets, but would give a small lean to Dallas at home in this one.

Jets logo Jets vs Cardinals Cardinals logo

Day/Time:
Odds: New York -3
Total: 46.5

This one isn’t a bad game provided both quarterbacks can stay healthy. Aaron Rodgers is a massive upgrade for the Jets, while the Cardinals were a different team with Murray last year.

New York hasn’t fared well as a road favorite in recent years, going 1-5-1 ATS since 2017. The Jets are also 1-6 in totals in those game, but things should be a little different under Rodgers. Arizona is just 9-25 straight-up as a home dog since 2017, but 19-15 ATS.

You can make a slight case for taking Arizona as one of your NFL Week 10 picks in this one.

Lions logo Lions vs Texans Texans logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Houston -1
Total: 50

A solid game for Sunday night, as Detroit visits Houston in a game where there should be plenty of passing. The Lions may be a little weak against the run and Houston could look to exploit that.

The Texans played the Thursday game last week, so will have a few extra days to gets ready for this one. The NFL Week 10 odds are high on the total and it’s certainly justified. The 2023 season saw 16 games where the total was 50 or higher.

Those games were 4-12 in totals, so you have to look at the under in this one.

Dolphins logo Dolphins vs Rams Rams logo

Day/Time:
Odds: Los Angeles -1
Total: 47.5

Week 10 of the NFL season ends with a decent matchup between Miami and the Rams. The Dolphins were 4-4 on the road a year ago and only one game was decided by fewer than seven points.

Miami either won big or lost big. The Rams were 5-3 straight-up and ATS at home last year. This is one of the tougher games for the NFL Week 10 predictions.

People will still play the game since it’s the Monday night contest, with the over probably getting the majority of the wagers. The under deserves a look, however, as Miami could have success on the ground and take time off the clock.
