NFL Week 11 Game Odds: New York Giants Heavy Favorites to Win Yet Again

Struggling Rams and Saints Meet in Intriguing NFC Showdown

Washington Commanders Look to Go Above .500 Mark on Sunday

There will be some matchups featuring some of the most surprising teams in the NFL – both in a positive and negative fashion among the five early Sunday afternoon kickoffs being televised by FOX. Four of the early games are viewed by the Week 11 Game Odds as one-score affairs.

The highlight game could be the showdown between the Detroit Lions and New York Giants while the Washington Commanders look to go over the .500 mark.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Rams and Saints are limping their way into a matchup of teams typically in playoff contention at this time of the year.

Here’s a closer look at the games with some updates courtesy of the NFL week 11 injury report.

Game of the Week

Detroit Lions vs New York Giants

Date, time (TV):
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.
Moneyline: Detroit +145, New York Giants -165
Line: Giants -3

Both teams used early picks to upgrade the pass rush with Detroit selecting Aidan Hutchinson and the Giants picking Kayvon Thibodeaux in the top five in the 2022 NFL Draft. According to the Las Vegas odds, Hutchinson (+1000) is third and Thibodeaux (+2000) fifth in the odds to win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Keep an eye on the status for Thibodeaux as he is questionable for the game.

The Giants are 7-1 in one-score games this season and are 4-1 against the spread at home this season.
The visiting team has won eight of the last 12 meetings while four of the last seven games between the teams went under the total.

Detroit receivers DJ Chark Jr. and Josh Reynolds, center Frank Ragnow and running back Jamaal Williams are all questionable. The good news is that running back D’Andre Swift and rookie linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez are both probable.

For the Giants, receivers Kenny Golladay and Wan’Dale Robinson are questionable. Rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger is expected to miss another game.

This has been a pretty low-scoring series in recent years with an average of 38 points being scored in the last three meetings. The total is set at 45 in this NFL matchup.

Other Games to Watch

Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons

Date, time (TV):
Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
Moneyline: Chicago +145, Atlanta -165
Line: Atlanta -3

The biggest news for Atlanta this week is that star cornerback A.J. Terrell returned to practice so barring any setbacks, the Falcons will welcome back one of the best cover corners in the NFL. His return could impact the Week 11 Game Odds.

The 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions thrown by Chicago quarterback Justin Fields might not look that great. However, he has seven TD passes, four scoring runs and just one interception in the last three games.

It seems fair to wonder how much longer Marcus Mariota is going to be the starting QB in Atlanta. Rookie receiver Drake London and second-year tight end Kyle Pitts haven’t had the expected impact and some of that can be traced to the quarterback position.

Chicago just lost running back Khalil Herbert as he was placed on injured reserve while tight end Cole Kmet is questionable.

Something will have to give as the total has gone over in five of Chicago’s last six games, but it has finished under five times in the last seven contests played by the Falcons.

Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints

Date, time (TV):
Location: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans
Moneyline: Los Angeles Rams +150, New Orleans -175
Line: New Orleans -3.5

Coming into the season, this figured to be a game for teams fighting for playoff position. Instead it is the 3-6 defending Super Bowl champion Rams traveling to play the 3-7 Saints.

The Rams will be without their best offensive player as receiver Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury that landed him on injured reserve. Quarterback Matthew Stafford missed last week’s game with a concussion. He is looking good to return to action.

New Orleans knows all about playing without key pass catchers considering that Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry have combined to play in just eight games this football season.

An average of 55 points has been scored in the last three games in the series. However, eight of the Rams’ last 11 games finished under the total and Los Angeles is just 2-8-1 against the spread.

Panthers vs Ravens

Date, time (TV):
Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
Moneyline: Carolina +520, Baltimore -750
Line: Baltimore -13

After a nightmarish 2021 season, the hope was that the Ravens would be able to have a healthy group of running backs in 2022. It hasn’t worked out that way with four running backs getting the chance to carry the load.

Kenyan Drake leads the running backs with 73 carries and 344 yards.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the top rusher. However, the 20 sacks he has suffered is a problem as is looking talented young receiver Rashod Bateman. Still, when looking at the NFL spreads, this is the early game where things could be decided quickly.

Baltimore (6-3) has fought through the injuries and lead the AFC North by a game over defending AFC champion Cincinnati.

Baker Mayfield is set to be back at quarterback for the Panthers after missing four of the last five games.
Carolina (3-7) is 0-4 on the road this season.

Commanders vs Texans

Date, time (TV):
Location: NRG Stadium, Houston
Moneyline: Washington -165, Houston +145
Line: Washington -3

With the Eagles having the best record, Dallas always dominating the headlines and the New York Giants being one of the surprise teams in the NFL, the other team in the NFC East has flown under the radar.

Washington (5-5) is very much in contention for a playoff spot and this is the type of game the Commanders have to win to be considered a playoff contender. When looking at the Week 11 Game Odds, this could be one of the most competitive games of the early games.

Carson Wentz could be available to play, but Taylor Heinecke helped the Commanders upset the previously undefeated Eagles so he may hold onto the starting job.
Washington is leaning heavily on the running game , regardless of who is the quarterback.

Houston (1-7-1) is better than its record might indicate with a 1-5-1 mark in one-score games. Rookie running back Dameon Pierce is fifth in the NFL with 772 rushing yards and he is going against a Washington defense ranked 12th in the league in stopping the run.

Houston has won the last three meetings against Washington. Eight of the 17 games played by the teams have finished under the total in 2022.
