NFL Week 11 Preseason Preview: Chiefs, Bills Highlight Week’s Games
Houston Visits Cowboys on Monday Night in Texas Showdown

Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season has four more NFL teams on bye weeks and a possible AFC championship preview with Buffalo and Kansas City.
The Monday night game between the two Texas teams will also draw plenty of attention. It’s time for the rundown of all the games on the schedule in the NFL Week 11 preseason preview.
Commanders vs Eagles
Commanders vs Eagles
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Philadelphia -7 (-115)
Total: 45.5
Not the greatest game to begin the new week with, although it could be entertaining. This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
The Eagles are coming off the game against Dallas, so will need to avoid a slight letdown here. The Commanders will go as far as Jayden Daniels goes, but he needs the offensive line to do its job.
The betting lines NFL Week 11 are a bit high on this game, but you can’t say the Eagles don’t deserve to be such large favorites.
Packers vs Bears
Packers vs Bears
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Chicago -1
Total: 44.5
This one isn’t a bad game and the early line is giving Chicago a bit of respect. Green Bay is coming off its bye, but does have San Francisco on tap.
Typically a team won’t look past a division opponent, although you can make an exception here. It was the 49ers that brought an end to Green Bay’s season in the NFL playoffs Bracket last year.
The NFL betting lines on this game are pretty close to what you would expect. This is the first meeting of the year between the two teams. The best NFL week 11 over under play here could well be the under.
Ravens vs Steelers
Ravens vs Steelers
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Baltimore -3 (-105)
Total: 43
A pretty good AFC North matchup here between the Ravens and the Steelers. Pittsburgh isn’t really a bad team, but happen to play in a division with the Bengals, Ravens and Browns.
That makes their home division games even more crucial. They’re simply games the Steelers need to win.
Pittsburgh will look to pull out one of the NFL upsets this week, but it’s not going to be easy.
- Still, you’re not going to out-coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are 6-3-1 as a home underdog since 2020.
Considering Pittsburgh’s record as a home underdog, the Steelers should be one of your NFL picks against the spread this week.
Rams vs Patriots
Rams vs Patriots
⏰Day/Time:
Odds: Los Angeles -4
Total: 43.5
There’s no denying this isn’t one of the more appealing games on the schedule. The NFL Week 11 Las Vegas odds could be a little bit light here.
It depends of what type of quarterback play the Patriots get this season. Both Drake Maye and Jacoby Brissett are an upgrade over last season, so there is small reason for optimism for New England fans.
The Rams aren’t going to keep pace with San Francisco, so these are the types of games they need to win. It’s hard to be too excited about a West Coast road favorite in an early game, however.
Raiders vs Dolphins
Raiders vs Dolphins
⏰Day/Time:
Odds: Miami -6.5
Total: 47
Las Vegas visits Miami in another game featuring a West Coast team in an early start. The Raiders weren’t the best road team last season and have to do better away from home.
- Winning at Miami isn’t an easy chore, as the Dolphins were 7-2 at home last year.
Miami is coming off the Monday night game with the Rams, while the Raiders were off last week.
The Dolphins will be played high in the NFL Week 11 confidence picks and also in a fair number of teasers this week.
Browns vs Saints
Browns vs Saints
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Cleveland -2
Total: 42
The Browns visit New Orleans coming off its bye week and with Cleveland being a road favorite, the under looks pretty good.
Taking the under in games involving road favorites coming off a bye has been one of the best NFL betting trends over the years.
- Since 2010, these games are 35-52 in totals.
It doesn’t hurt that Cleveland has one of the better defenses in the NFL and could be tough with some extra rest. New Orleans is 1-4 as a home underdog over the last two seasons.
Jaguars vs Lions
Jaguars vs Lions
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Detroit -4
Total: 50
The NFL Week 11 preseason preview has what could be an entertaining game between Jacksonville and Detroit. The totals suggest this will be the highest scoring NFL game today.
The Jaguars could have some offensive success against the Detroit defense. The Lions are good enough offensively to put points on the scoreboard against anybody.
Detroit did play the Sunday night game against Houston last week. This isn’t the easiest game to call right now, but the early impressions are on the under.
Vikings vs Titans
Vikings vs Titans
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Minnesota -1
Total: 43.5
This game isn’t going to get a lot of attention, but it’s one that has the possibility to look quite a bit different in November.
The Vikings are one of those teams who could be a lot better than expected this season. The defense should be good, with the big question mark at quarterback.
The schedule is also pretty tough. The Titans are expected to be about the same as last year. The Vikings aren’t favored often in the early lines. This is one of the toughest NFL Week 11 matchups to wager on.
Seahawks vs 49ers
Seahawks vs 49ers
⏰Day/Time:
Odds: San Francisco -9
Total: 46.5
The 49ers have the distinction of being the biggest of the NFL Week 11 favorites, as Seattle comes visiting. The teams already met once this season in October.
San Francisco has a playoff rematch with Green Bay on tap, but that one is bigger for the Packers than it is for the 49ers.
There’s no question the 49ers are the better team, but there really is no reason for them to come out and steamroll Seattle. It could be a game where San Francisco wins the game, but doesn’t cover the spread.
Falcons vs Broncos
Falcons vs Broncos
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Atlanta -3 (-120)
Total: 44.5
There are a couple of decent late games this week, although this isn’t really one of them. Atlanta is the NFC South favorite this season and this is a road game it can definitely win.
- The Falcons were 1-3 as road favorites last year, but have done a good job improving the team. The Broncos have some personnel changes, but still will be well-coached.
There isn’t a whole lot of value in using this game for one of your NFL Week 11 picks.
Bengals vs Chargers
Bengals vs Chargers
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Cincinnati -2
Total: 45
This game has the potential to be a good one, depending on how Justin Herbert and the Chargers bounce back from last season.
The Chargers should be a better team, although that’s not saying a whole lot. The were pretty awful last season. The Bengals have their bye next week and are coming off the Thursday game with Baltimore.
The biggest key for the Cincinnati coaching staff will be to keep the team motivated for this game. The contest is a bit tough against the traditional NFL point spread, but the Chargers do have potential as a teaser play.
Chiefs vs Bills
Chiefs vs Bills
⏰Day/Time:
Odds: Buffalo -1 (Even)
Total: 48.5
The NFL schedule 2024 gives us a pretty strong afternoon game, as Kansas City visits Buffalo. There’s no doubt the Bills have been looking forward to this game since the schedule was released.
It’s a little surprising the game isn’t one of the night games this week, although there’s nothing wrong with that.
The Chiefs will want to make a good accounting of themselves, so they’re not going down without a fight. Kansas City needs to prove the 27-24 playoff win was no fluke.
There will be plenty of talk about NFL QB leaders Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, but the best play in this one could very well be the under 48.5.
Colts vs Jets
Colts vs Jets
⏰Day/Time: Odds: New York -4
Total: 46
The Sunday night game is another contest that could turn out to be decent depending on the play and health of Anthony Richardson.
The NFL schedule for Week 11 had several games that may have been better for this time slot, but it could have been worse.
This is a game the Jets can’t afford to lose. When you’re battling with Miami and Buffalo for the division title, you have to take care of business in the games you’re supposed to win.
The line isn’t too bad from the New York perspective and if both teams are playing to their capability, New York isn’t the worst play you can make in this spot.
Texans vs Cowboys
Texans vs Cowboys
⏰Day/Time: Odds: Dallas -3
Total: 49
The NFL Week 11 preseason preview wraps-up with a fun contest in Dallas.
State bragging rights will be on the line and it’s a game fans of both teams can get into. It’s not easy going into Dallas and coming away with a victory.
- The Cowboys were 8-0 at home in the regular season last year. The Texans were 4-4 on the road last year. The Texans can match the Cowboys in talent at a number of positions.
Dallas is a little bit deeper and has the edge on experience, and have a good shot at covering the number as one of the NFL Week 11 favorites.
