Russell Wilson has played with the Seattle Seahawks for his entire NFL career until he was traded to the Denver Broncos last week. Wilson’s relationship with Seattle kind of felt stale that he didn’t want to be there anymore and Denver has found its new franchise quarterback.
Wilson has played 158 games with Seattle. His record was 104-53-1 completing 65.0 percent of his passes for 37,059 yards 292 touchdowns and 87 interceptions. He is a future hall of fame quarterback and he will be with Denver for the next several years. Those were his player stats throughout his entire career with the Seahawks.
The Broncos’ Next Chapter
Now, Wilson is the next big named quarterback for the Broncos since Peyton Manning was there from 2012-to 2015. In the four years, Manning was Denver’s quarterback, his record was 45-12-0 completing 66.5 percent of his passes for 17,112 passing yards 140 touchdowns, and 53 interceptions.
Manning got to the Super Bowl twice with Denver, but they lost to the Seattle Seahawks when Wilson was the quarterback and that was Seattle’s only Super Bowl title (XLVIII) in franchise history. He is also their best quarterback in franchise history and he will be missed big time in the Seattle, Washington community.
However, Manning won Super Bowl L with Denver against the Carolina Panthers. He was not very good at that point and retired with the franchise. The Broncos have not made it to the playoffs since that moment and it has felt like an eternity for that fan base.
The last time Wilson made it to the Super Bowl was when they lost to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. He hopes to win a Super Bowl with that Denver Broncos franchise.
Heavy Competition
The NFL odds as of right now for the Broncos to get to Super Bowl LVII next season is currently at +1200. They play in a brutality tough division with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West.
This is why Denver brought him in. How do you bet on a player like him to win the MVP award next year? Well, the odds are not out yet on him so you can’t bet on him. Once they do, then you can bet on him. Say he has +1000 odds to win the MVP Award and he has never won one in his NFL career.
If you place a $100 bet for these odds, the payout will be pretty good for you. There will be other higher odds potentially like Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen for starters. This is where Vegas will hammer home its money for the MVP odds for the upcoming 2022 NFL regular season.
They’re only placing bets on divisions and teams to win the Super Bowl (LVII) next season for now. The NFL Draft is also being bet on pretty heavily right now.
There will be a lot of crazy points spreads next season in the AFC West. Those games may not be bigger than three or four points because of how overwhelmingly talented the teams in the division are.
