Super Bowl LVIII: Touchdown Scorer Prop Betting

McCaffrey +130 to score the first touchdown for the Niners; Kelce +210 for the Chiefs

We are a few days away from the final game in this year’s NFL playoff bracket from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (Paradise), Nevada. We continue our ride through the plethora of Super Bowl props with today’s stop in front in front of who are the best bets to score the first and last touchdown for both NFL teams.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT and can be seen on CBS. The current NFL point spread on Super Bowl LVIII is San Francisco -2 with a total of 47.5. We suspect we’ll pour over prop options until the last minute. Let’s start our NFL touchdown scorer prop bet beginning with the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey and Samuel Lead The Way

Before we get deep into this, let’s first get to the current odds, starting with who are the favorites to score the Forty-Niners’ first touchdown. Running Back Christian McCaffery is the favorite at +130, followed by WR Deebo Samuel (+400) and TE George Kittle (+425).

The interesting that jumps off the page is quarterback Brock Purdy (+1600), who could easily cash a long-shot ager, considering he has the ball in his hands on every snap. We would love to get nuts on this and give you an option that paid out more but there is a reason McCaffrey is a massive favorite.

Two weeks ago, with San Francisco trailing 14-0 against the Detroit Lions, Kyle Shanahan’s team turned to McCaffery to push the ball over from the 2-yard line to get within a touchdown. The former Stanford star would add a score late, but there is no doubt he is the glue to the offense. In both playoff wins, the 3-time pro-bowler scored multiple times.

There’s no reason to doubt they won’t look to get him in the end zone early. McCaffrey is +155 to score multiple touchdowns, making this prop wager a safe bet.

The last to score a touchdown gives us more options, although McCaffrey is a bigger favorite to cash this prop at +135. Let’s give some love to Samuel at +400 who has not scored in six straight games, but he still is the second choice.

The Super Bowl tends to highlight players who have been quiet leading up the the NFL game and Samuel fits in that category with an average of just over four catches per game since their win at Arizona.

You can see that Shanahan is preparing for the 28-year to be more involved after getting 11 touches against Detroit after getting just 13 in the previous three games combined.

Kansas City Chiefs: The Obvious Picks Cash

It doesn’t take much of a genius to know who the favorites are to cash a first touchdown prop for the Kansas City Chiefs, but unlike San Francisco, the favorite is less obvious.

TE Travis Kelce leads the way at +210, but close behind him is Isiah Pacheco at +240. Rashee Rice is the third choice at +400. It’s interesting to see Patrick Mahomes as just the fifth choice at +1000.

Purdy has lower odds than Mahomes, who is the more mobile of the two, but oddsmakers feel Kansas City has more weapons, and Andy Reid will likely get the ball out of the hand of Mahomes quickly to avoid many collisions for his signal caller early on.

Again, we’d like to go deeper into the pool of NFL players, but Kelce at +210 is our pick to score the first touchdown for KC. In their wins against Buffalo and Baltimore, Kelce was the target when the Chiefs needed their first touchdowns.

As far as who will score last, we’ll go with Isiah Pacheco at +240. The second-year back already has a ring, and we’ve seen KC lean on their back late in NFL games. The former Rutgers star was the early favorite but has fallen to second choice after Kelce moved into the top spot at +225.

That does it for our NFL touchdown scorer prop bet prediction, before we wrap it up let’s give you a couple of long shots that may be with your attention.

Purdy, Mahomes Worthy Of Small Wagers

As mentioned earlier, we thought Mahomes at +1000 to score the first touchdown was a slight surprise, but upon further review, we think both quarterbacks to score the last touchdown is worth a shot. Mahomes is +1200 to cash that wager while Purdy is an attractive +2000.

It’s only fair to point out that Mahomes has not found the end zone this NFL season on the ground while Purdy has scored twice. One other name to throw in there is Niners RB Elijah Mitchell, who has one postseason touchdown and two during the regular season.

If Mitchell were to score the first or last touchdown for San Fran, a payout of +2500 would be yours. We wish you all the best with your NFL betting picks.
