Super Bowl Path: New Orleans Saints Future Betting Odds
Status of Star Running Back Alvin Kamara is a Mystery Heading Into the 2022 Season

Saints Eye Return to Playoffs Under First-Year Coach Dennis Allen
New Orleans Saints future Betting Odds: The combination of head coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees helped one of the least successful franchises in NFL history win a Super Bowl and reach the playoffs eight times in a span of 12 seasons.
They have both moved on leaving the Saints with an uncertain future. Speaking of uncertainty, off-the-field issues could impact the availability of star running back Alvin Kamara so keep an eye on his status moving forward. That is certainly a part of the New Orleans Saints future betting odds.
New Orleans does get receiver Michael Thomas back and he has a talented running mate in first-round pick Chris Olave.
If there is a team that can challenge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South, it figures to be the Saints. However, if things go the other way, New Orleans could be looking over their shoulder at the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.
Take a look at the PointSpreads page, and keep updated with the NFL news, and many more player totals in our New Orleans Saints stats.
The jury is still out on Jameis Winston as a starting quarterback in the NFL. He can pile up the yards, but will that result in success on the scoreboard? Veteran Andy Dalton was brought in and with Taysom Hill apparently moving away from the quarterback position, Ian Book is the other option. The play at the quarterback position will factor into the future betting odds for the New Orleans Saints.
It is Now or Never for Winston
Jameis Winston

- Passing Yards: 3750.5
- Touchdowns: 25.5 (even odds to go over)
- Interceptions: 13.5
There is no questioning Winston’s ability to throw the ball. The problem is which team is he passing the ball to?
Turnover issues resulted at the end of his run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Winston has been slowed by injury in the preseason and that is not great news.
If Michael Thomas is healthy and Alvin Kamara plays all 17 games, there are plenty of weapons for Winston to work with. This could be the season where he shows that he is the answer at quarterback for the Saints or perhaps New Orleans takes a look at the quarterback-heavy 2023 NFL Draft if Winston underwhelms.
What Will Happen With Kamara, key Question for Saints
Despite a subpar 2021 season, there is no doubting the talent of Alvin Kamara. While he was never used in a classic fashion where he runs the ball between the tackles 20-25 times a game, his pass-catching ability and opportunity to break off big plays make him one of the most productive backs in franchise history.
A potential suspension could be looming for Kamara as a result of an assault charge. Naturally, if he misses time that will show up in the New Orleans Saints future betting odds.
Mark Ingram is a proven NFL back, but he also has plenty of tread on his tires.
This will be a much different offense if Kamara misses part of the season. That is why his season projections are pretty hard to find.
High Hopes for Saints First-Round Pick Olave
Chris Olave

- Receiving Yards: 725.5
- Receiving Touchdowns: 4.5
The Saints have not taken a wide receiver in the first round since making Brandin Cooks the 20th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The last time a receiver was picked higher than Olave in the draft came when Wes Chandler was the third overall pick in 1978. If Olave becomes a player like Chandler, the Saints have themselves a keeper.
Olave knows how to thrive in an offense with plenty of mouths to keep with fellow first-round pick Garrett Wilson, future first-rounder Jaxon Smith-Njigba and tight end Jeremy Ruckert all very involved in the Ohio State passing offense.
When looking at the NFL future odds., Olave is tied for the third best odds to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Thomas Ready to Make Up for Lost Time
Michael Thomas

- Receptions: 70.5
- Receiving Yards: 750.5
- Receiving Touchdowns: 6.5 (+110o)
There were times a season ago when Marquez Callaway was the No. 1 receiver for the Saints. Now Thomas, who had 378 receptions in a three-year span, is back after missing the 2021 season and being limited to seven games in 2020. His return will positively impact the New Orleans Saints stats in 2022.
Thomas is currently dealing with a hamstring issue and that is hardly ideal. It will also be interesting to see how New Orleans utilizes Thomas alongside Olave, Jarvis Landry, Callaway, Tre’Quan Smith, and tight end Adam Trautman.
His projections provide a glimpse that Thomas might not put up the numbers he did when he was the go-to target for Brees. Still, when healthy he has proven to be one of the elite receivers in the NFL.
