The Jets Have A Lot Of Trust In Aaron Rodgers

2024 Aaron Rodgers Season Odds: A Big Season Awaits

Aaron Rodgers was supposed to save the New York Jets. He was labeled as the savior the minute he came to the Jets.

However, the four-time MVP and Super Bowl Champion was hit with a season-ending injury on the opening drive of his Jets career. Some thought he wouldn’t even return and would consider retirement.

But soon after the NFL injury, Rodgers announced he would return to finish the job. That job is to bring a Super Bowl to the New York Jets.

Rodgers has had his differences with the media and does things that may look out of pocket from afar. But all that aside, he’s one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game. Even at 40 years old, many believe he can legitimately help the Jets become relevant again.

At times, it feels like maybe Rodgers isn’t bought in. He missed the minicamp for a pre-planned trip to Egypt. He was also in talks to be the Vice President for Robert F. Kennedy. But all that aside, the Jets don’t seem too concerned. They’ve finally got a legitimate quarterback for the first time since maybe Chad Pennington.

Let’s break down the 2024 Aaron Rodgers season odds for this upcoming season.

Aaron Rodgers’ Passing Yards

  • 3800.5 (O/U -110/-110)

The Jets made a lot of changes to their offense this season. They never got a chance to see what Rodgers could do with the old offense. However, the Jets tried to get better during the offseason to give Rodgers more weapons.

New York will rely heavily on Breece Hall at running back. They’ll also ride with Tyler Conklin at tight end this year. That hasn’t changed.

However, the Jets brought in Mike Williams, the former Chargers wide receiver, to be second in command behind Garrett Wilson. The Jets also drafted Malachi Corley to compete with Xavier Gipson in the slot.

Beyond that, the Jets added veteran left tackle Tyron Smith and NFL first-round draft pick Olu Fashanu from Penn State for more offensive line reinforcements. Our NFL expert picks considered these additions when thinking about these quarterback props.

Rodgers should be better protected and will have way more playmakers than last year’s squad. Don’t forget that Allen Lazard is also on the squad, and Rodgers has already tried to bring Davante Adams to New York.

By the trade deadline, Adams may become a Jet if the Raiders struggle early. That could only help Rodgers add passing yards to his 2024 stats.

That said, Rodgers has added at least 3801 yards in 12 seasons. He failed to achieve those numbers in 2022, and that’s one of the many reasons the Packers moved on from Rodgers after that season.

When Rodgers is healthy for a full season, he’s had no issues earning more than 3,800 passing yards. We’d take the Over on these NFL betting lines.

Aaron Rodgers’ Passing Touchdowns

  • 26.5 Passing Touchdowns (O/U +110/-125)

Just like his passing yards, Rodgers rarely struggled to hit at least 27 passing touchdowns. In a poor NFL season with the Packers in 2022, Rodgers still added 3,695 yards with 26 touchdowns.

If he gets to more than 3,800 yards, he’ll likely also achieve at least 27 passing touchdowns.

While the Jets openly love to run the football, with Rodgers under center, New York will surely allow for more passing plays. The Jets just haven’t been able to trust their quarterback over the last couple of seasons. But with Rodgers, they can.

The 2024 Aaron Rodgers season odds could be elite this season.

Aaron Rodgers To Win MVP

  • NFL MVP Odds +1600

As stated earlier, Rodgers has a history of winning the MVP. He’s got four MVP titles, a Super Bowl, and nearly a dozen Pro Bowl invites.

If Rodgers does the unthinkable and lands the Jets into the playoffs, he’ll be considered for his 5th MVP. I mean, realistically, think about this Jets team for a second. New York couldn’t win with Zach Wilson under center and tried a bunch of quarterbacks over the last couple of seasons, including Joe Flacco.

Flacco couldn’t find success with the Jets but took the Browns to the NFL playoffs last season.

Rodgers will have to put up better stats than Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, C.J. Stroud, Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, Lamar Jackson, and Brock Purdy. All those quarterbacks are listed ahead of Rodgers on the odds board for the MVP this season.

Ironically, Love is ahead of Rodgers for the MVP award, as Love took over for Rodgers in Green Bay just last season. Ultimately, Rodgers is 40 years old. His best play could certainly be behind him.

But at the end of the day, Rodgers probably wants to prove the doubters wrong. He’s got a chip on his shoulder. He gets a lot of hate from the media and fans and does unorthodox things.

He would love to add an MVP and Super Bowl with the Jets. That would solidify his career as a top-five NFL quarterback in the NFL Quarterback rankings.

Therefore, take the Overs on the 2024 Aaron Rodgers season odds. It’s about to be a movie.
