Week 12 NFL Schedule: Early Sunday Games on CBS Feature AFC South
Three AFC South Underdogs in Four CBS Games

Which AFC South Team Can Beat the NFL Odds?
Heading into Week 12, the AFC South remains the most dubious division in the AFC. The Tennessee Titans have overperformed on the NFL betting lines but they are the lone bright spot in what has been a miserable group. In this Week 12 NFL schedule, three of the four AFC South teams are featured in the early portion of CBS’s Sunday games. All three are underdogs per their NFL Week 12 spreads. So who can beat the odds?
Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars to Pounce on Vulnerable Ravens
The Ravens beat the Panthers last week to extend their winning streak to four games. However, the injury-laden Ravens looked vulnerable as they struggled to put away the hapless NFC South outfit. Baltimore failed to cover its 12.5-point spread as it managed just 115 rushing yards, its lowest output since Week 1.
If this is a recipe to beat Baltimore, the Jaguars could pull it off as +175 underdogs. Jacksonville has one of the stoutest rushing defenses, allowing just 4.2 yards per carry (eighth in the NFL). In fact, if we remove that disaster of a game against the Giants, the Jaguars are allowing just 96 rushing yards per game.
If Jacksonville can keep the Ravens (-205) grounded, it could just cover its four-point spread. The Jaguars are 2-0 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog at home. Jacksonville allows just 15.4 points at the TIAA Bank Field, which is the third-best mark in the NFL. The totals (43.5) could continue to go under as all five of their home games have.
Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Commanders
Records:Â Falcons (5-6), Commanders (6-5)
Location:Â FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland
Commanders Seek to Dominate Falcons
It’s a flashback of early 2020 as Taylor Heinicke is back to being the boss that he is. The quarterback has Washington on a resurgence: The Commanders are 4-1 with him as the quarterback and are 5-1 since Week 6. Just when Ron Rivera’s squad looked finished, Washington is now in striking distance of a playoff spot. They host the Falcons as four-point favorites (-200 on the ML), who could spoil their good vibes.
Atlanta (+170) has beaten Washington in six of their last seven meetings. At the FedEx Field, the Falcons are 5-1 ATS against Washington. It would be such a Washington thing for them to drop this game now. But Atlanta will continue to be shorthanded as they add start tight end Kyle Pitts (MCL) to the injury report.
Without Pitts, Marcus Mariota could continue to struggle at quarterback. The Commanders’ defense, which has climbed to 12th in scoring and sixth in yards, will feast on the Falcons’ porous blocking. Washington is ranked third in pressure rate (25.8 percent) and leads the league in QB knockdowns (56). Either Washington wins or this is an upset on the Week 12 NFL schedule. Either way, scoring could be at a premium (42.5 total).
Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans
Records:Â Bengals (6-4), Titans (7-3)
Location:Â Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee
Titans Seek Vengeance Against Bengals
A rematch of last season’s AFC Divisional game pits the Titans as slight underdogs (+105) in their own home against Cincinnati (-125). Tennessee has overcome a litany of injuries and the worst pass-catching group in the league to go 7-1 and 8-0 ATS. Credit goes to a revitalized Derrick Henry and an unwavering defense.
Tennessee is giving up the eighth-fewest points on average (18.5). In fact, this team has only allowed an opponent to hit the 20-point mark once in its last eight games. However, the defense is vulnerable to the pass. The Titans have given up the third-most passing yards and the fourth-most touchdowns.
Joe Burrow must be licking his chops as he and the Bengals’ third-ranked scoring offense (26.5) could light up Tennessee. Burrow has thrown for multiple touchdowns in six of his last eight games. Even without Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals will challenge the Titans’ propensity for low-scoring games. The total is at 42.5. Four of Cincinnati’s last five games have gone over versus six of Tennessee’s last seven going the other way. What will give?
Houston Texans vs Miami Dolphins

Dolphins Dance Around Texans
Here we have what could be the harshest butt-whooping or the biggest upset for this Week 12 NFL schedule. The Dolphins (-700) are unbeatable with Tua Tagovailoa and have won four straight. However, covering two touchdowns (-14) is another task altogether. The Texans are a moribund team and are offered at +490 on the moneyline to win.
Bettors should be wary as there is some voodoo magic happening concerning AFC South teams. Last season, the Jaguars toppled the Bills as 16.5-point underdogs. Nine weeks later, they spoiled the Colts’ playoff chances and made underdog bettors rich at +580 to win (+500 on the spread).
Otherwise, this should be straightforward. The Dolphins are blasting through opponents to the tune of 35 points per game in their last three games. Houston, on the other hand, has hit the 20-point mark just once in their last six. The total is set at 46 and Miami may cover the ‘over’ by itself as four of its last five road games have.
