The Oilers vs Coyotes Betting Odds Favor Visiting Edmonton To Tame the Coyotes

Edmonton Is Favored to Pick Up Its 22nd Home Win of the Season
After nearly 30 years being located in Arizona, the Coyotes will be playing in the state for the final time with the franchise moving to Salt Lake City,
Utah once the move is approved by the NHL’s board of governors. The Oilers vs Coyotes betting odds have visiting Edmonton as the favorite.
Arizona snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Oilers with a 3-2 win on April 12 on an overtime goal by Matias Maccelli. It was the third time in the last four meetings between the Oilers and the Coyotes to be decided by one goal.
The NHL betting lines have Edmonton with +130 odds to cover as the 1.5-goal favorite and -200 to win the game outright, while Arizona is priced +170 to win the game and -150 to cover against the puck line as the 1.5-goal underdog.
It is the ninth time in a row that the Oilers are favored against the Coyotes. Edmonton is tied for third at +800 in the NHL Stanley Cup odds, while the Coyotes will miss the playoffs for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons.

McDavid in Select Company
Connor McDavid joined Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr as the only NHL players with 100 assists in a season. The milestone came on a goal by Zach Hyman with 4:25 left in the second period to put the Oilers up 9-1 on San Jose.
It was his third straight multi-point game as the Oilers improved to 6-0 in the last six games when McDavid has at least two points.
He didn’t play in the most recent meeting with the Coyotes and it remains to be seen how many of the Edmonton players may sit this game out.
McDavid did have two assists in the first meeting of the season against Arizona. Keep that in mind when looking at the Oilers vs Coyotes betting odds.
Six of Edmonton’s last eight games against Central Division teams went under the total.
A Swan Song for the Coyotes
Arizona returns home after picking up six out of a possible 10 points in a five-game road trip. It will not be just another night at the office as this will likely be the final NHL game played in the state of Arizona.
Arizona is 6-3 in its last nine home games but still goes into this game seven games under .500 at home. It doesn’t help that the Coyotes are playing in the smallest home arena in the NHL.
Clayton Keller leads Arizona with 22 assists and 38 points at home. Michael Carcone, Nick Bjugstad, and Nick Schmaltz join Keller as the only Arizona players with at least 10 goals at home this NHL season. Keep that in mind when looking at the Oilers vs Coyotes betting odds.
The total has gone over in four of Arizona’s last six games against Pacific Division teams.
Last Meeting
Despite squandering a pair of one-goal leads, Arizona won in Edmonton for the first time since 2019 despite being outshot 41-28.
None of the previous seven NHL games between Arizona and Edmonton went under the total before this game fell under the 6.5-goal total.
Oilers vs Coyotes Betting Preview
Edmonton has as many wins on the road as Arizona has at home, which may not bode well for the Coyotes. Edmonton still has a chance to catch Vancouver and win the Pacific Division title, while Arizona has been out of playoff contention for a while.
When predicting the NHL scores today, keep in mind that Edmonton is 45-25-6 as a favorite this season, while the Coyotes are 21-41-4 as the underdog.
Winger Evander Kane is questionable for the Oilers.
Forwards Nick Bjugstad, Travis Boyd, Barrett Hayton, and defenseman Travis Dermott are out for Arizona.
Since the start of February, Edmonton is 7-6-2 as a road favorite with the Oilers covering in just four of those games. Arizona is 11-14 outright and 14-11 against the puck line as the home underdog.
Edmonton has covered in just 15 of 39 road games with 17 of those matchups going over the total. Arizona has seen 21 of its 40 home games land over the total. The total is set at 6.5 goals in this matchup.
Seven of Arizona’s last 10 games have gone over the total, and that is easy to understand since only San Jose and Anaheim have allowed more goals per game since the start of February than the Coyotes.
The total has gone under in eight of Edmonton’s last 11 road games and in six of the previous eight games against Central Division teams.
Edmonton has won seven of its last eight road games against the Coyotes, and it is hard to pick against Edmonton in this matchup.
