Golden Knights Set to Slow Down Avalanche

There is a huge NHL game set to take place on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Golden Knights vs Avalanche game takes place. Colorado has been on an absolute roll since the calendar turned to 2022, but Vegas is shutting them down in this game.

The biggest reason that Vegas is going to get this win is that the Golden Knights are a great team on the penalty kill. Colorado can be overwhelming when they have the man advantage, but that won’t be a problem for Vegas in this matchup.

Colorado is a joy to watch when they have the puck and are playing well, but the Golden Knights are not going to sit around and watch this take place. Vegas will be physical with Colorado all night on Saturday, and that will slow down the explosive attack from the Avalanche.

The only way that things could go sideways for Vegas is if the puck bounces the wrong way for the Golden Knights. Colorado won’t be able to overwhelm Vegas on Saturday night, but random puck luck could come into play.

The Avalanche have been doing everything well this season, but there is one area that could use some improvement. Colorado is only killing off 77 percent of their own penalties this season, and that has put them in some dangerous situations at times.

Colorado is facing a Vegas team that has scored on the power play close to 20 percent of the time, and they can actually be better than that. The Golden Knights have a history of converting on the power play in the postseason, and it’s almost time to go into playoff mode.

There is no denying the offensive talent of the Avalanche, but they are missing one of their biggest stars in this game. Nathan MacKinnon is currently out of the lineup due to injury, and that is going to have an impact on this game as well.

Colorado is not a fun team to deal with, but Vegas won’t be intimidated by all of the talent.

NHL experts and fans marvel at the offensive ability of the Colorado Avalanche, but they aren’t the only team that can score goals. Vegas is scoring over 3.2 goals per game this season as well, and that offense will be needed to win this Golden Knights vs Avalanche game.

Jonathan Marchessault might have a name that is difficult to pronounce, but he also has a game that is difficult to defend. Marchessault leads the Golden Knights with 20 goals, and he will make his presence felt in this matchup.

Vegas is a team that is built for the postseason, and it’s almost time to start gearing up for that playoff push. The Golden Knights have plenty of big-game experience, and that is going to show up in this big NHL showdown on Saturday night.

Strange things can happen in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but it would be an absolute shock if these two teams didn’t meet up in the Western Conference Finals. Even if the Avalanche and Golden Knights sometimes take nights off in the regular season, that won’t be the case in the postseason.

Since both teams are looking to make a statement on Saturday, you can expect plenty of heavy-hitting in this Golden Knights vs Avalanche game. The skill of the players will be on full display as well, but this game will come down to which team performs better on the power play.

It’s never easy to beat the Avalanche regardless of where the game is played, but Vegas will get the job done here.
