Golden Knights vs Hurricanes NHL Odds Analysis
Vegas Rolling Again in Competitive Pacific, ‘Canes 3-4-3 Last 10

The Vegas Golden Knights (21-6-5, 47 points) head to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on the struggling Carolina Hurricanes (16-12-3, 35 points). Vegas handed the Ottawa Senators a 6-3 loss to end the home stand after being embarrassed by the Buffalo Sabres.
Not everything has been easy for the Golden Knights who have won twice in their last four games in either overtime or a shootout. The same could be said for the hurricanes, but unlike Vegas, Carolina has dropped their last two in the extra session.

We start our Knights vs Hurricanes NHL odds preview by first analyzing the Vegas Golden Knights.
Vegas Goaltending Depth Tested Again
Aiden Hill was instrumental in last year’s Stanley Cup run for the Golden Knights, but this season the 7-year pro is finding it difficult to stay on the ice.
Hill got the start against the Senators but played just 6:25 before leaving the ice with what appeared to be an aggravation of the same injury that saw the British Columbia native miss three weeks. Logan Thompson will be the starter until Hill can return but there isn’t a big drop-off between the two.
There was some concern for Thompson as well after he talked with the trainers deep into the third period after he was seen attempting to shake out his leg. Goaltender Jiri Patera will be recalled to the Vegas Golden Knights roster to backup Thompson against Carolina.
We continue our Knights vs Hurricanes preview by turning our attention to the Canes.
Speaking Of Goaltending
Like the Golden Knights, the Carolina Hurricanes have their carousel of netminders to deal with. We know that Pyotr Kochetkov is the starter because Frederik Andersen doesn’t appear to be ready to return any time soon even though he’s been working out with the team’s strength and conditioning coach Bill Burniston.
Antti Raanta was placed and then cleared waivers before the team sent him down to their AHL affiliate in Chicago. Some in the organization wonder if Raanta’s demotion could serve as motivation for a team that was supposed to compete for the Stanley Cup, but instead, is in fourth place in the Metropolitan Division.
If Carolina Hurricanes is to win this game, it will have to be because they got out ahead. Vegas averages just 0.84 goals per game in the first period but averages 2.5 goals per game in the second and third periods combined. The Knights are third in the league with a 2.50 goals against while Carolina is 19th (3.19).
We conclude our Knights vs Hurricanes preview with our official selection.
Whose Less Unsettled?
Over the last couple of seasons, we’ve seen injuries pile up on the Vegas Golden Knights causing them to miss out on the playoffs the year before hoisting the Cup.
The experience was bitter for a fan base that expects the Knights to win the Stanley Cup every NHL season. However, because of 2021-22 Vegas is better equipped to handle a few injuries.
Once again, the Knights are one of the top money-producing hockey teams in the league (+2.32 units) while the Hurricanes are among the worst (-6.15 units).
The Golden Knights are 5-1 this season as an underdog and +16.70 units over the last three seasons combined. No team has come close to producing more for the betting public than the Knights as a dog.
No need to go against that trend, take the Vegas Golden Knights (+110) who are more comfortable with chaos than Carolina, as our top hockey bets today.
