In a short slate of National Hockey League action with just five games on tap, NHL Wednesday night recap saw a solid mix of results for bettors cashing tickets. Let’s take a look at last night’s NHL matchups odds games in review.
The Ottawa Senators pick up two points over the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 5-4 overtime victory. Forward Brady Tkachuk scored just 25 seconds in the extra frame to hand the Pens their ninth loss in the last 12 games.

Forwards Artturi Lehkonen and Mikko Rantanen each scored two goals while Nathan MacKinnon added a pair of assists. Goalie Alexandar Georgiev made 34 saves on 35 shots faced for the victory in his first start in over a week.
Calgary has now lost five of their last eight games, with goaltender Jacob Markstron making 27 saves on 31 shots faced. Forward Tyler Toffoli scored the lone tally for Calgary.
The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Vancouver Canucks by a final of 5-2 as moderate sized road favorites, and just going over the heavily bet total of 6.5.
Forward Steven Stamkos made history, scoring his 500th career National Hockey League goal to open the game. Stamkos is the first ever member of the Lightning and 47th player in league history to accomplish the feat.
Forwards Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov each had a goal and an assist for the Bolts, who have now matched a season-high mark with five straight wins.
Vancouver has now dropped eight of their last ten games and continue to struggle defensively. Goaltender Spencer Martin was pulled after allowing four goals on ten shots faced in the first period.
Backup Colin Delia stopped all 14 shots faced and the Lightning scored an empty net goal late to the delight of many Over bettors.
The San Jose Sharks came back from a 3-0 deficit to score five unanswered goals and beat the Dallas Stars for a 5-3 final as +135 home underdogs.
