Nuggets Look Crisp, Tie Series 2-2 Against Timberwolves
Wolves vs Nuggets NBA Odds, Predictions and More

Wolves vs Nuggets NBA odds are Denver -4.5, a total of 207.
The Timberwolves dominated the first two games of this NBA playoffs series, and the Nuggets took control in games 3 and 4.
In Game 4, the defending champion Nuggets looked far from finished, evening the series at 2-2 with a convincing 115-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The newly crowned MVP, Nikola Jokic, took over down the stretch, scoring 16 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter. Aaron Gordon was a big factor on offense as well, putting up 27 points on a staggering 11-for-12 shooting night.
Timberwolves star, Anthony Edwards, exploded offensively but lacked support from the rest of his pack. Anthony Edwards continued his phenomenal playoff run, dropping a franchise record-breaking 44 points.
However, the rest of the Timberwolves couldn’t keep pace, with Karl-Anthony Towns enduring a rough shooting night (5-for-18 from the field) and veteran Mike Conley going 5-for-12.
Denver’s defensive adjustments paid off, limiting the impact of Minnesota’s All-Star duo. Gordon stepped up as the primary defender on Towns. Meanwhile the Nuggets were able to withstand the 11-point performances from the Wolves’ two other bigs, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert.
The Nuggets’ supporting cast, on the other hand, came alive, with Justin Holiday, Christian Braun, and Reggie Jackson contributing crucial three-pointers. According to the NBA Team stats, this balanced scoring attack proved too much for the Wolves to handle. Especially during the decisive 26-4 run between the first and second quarters that kept Minnesota fighting from behind all game.

Jokic Controlling Things
The Denver Nuggets roster has finally started to gel in this series, and Nikola Jokic is likely breathing a bit easier. Jokic has been shouldering the load offensively but has gone over his points/rebounds/assists combination prop only once so far this series.
Jokic only registered seven assists in his dominant Game 4 performance. He controlled the game and the Nuggets offense but decided to lean into his scoring opportunities a bit more.
We could see the MVP need to once again focu son scoring over distributing in Game 5, and we like the possibility of Jokic going under on his assists prop once again.
Aaron Gordon is another Nuggets player to look at for a props bet on Tuesday, based on the NBA Player stats. After a disappointing game 1, Gordon has gone over his points prop in the last three games. This includes two games of 20 points or more.
We expect Tuesday’s game to be lower scoring, like the first two games in Denver, but Gordon could have an opportunity to keep his scoring up. If his line ends up around the 11.5 points it was for game 4, we like taking a look at the over.
Edwards Explosion
Anthony Edwards is continuing to announce his arrival as the NBA’s best new American superstar. He has gone over on his points prop two of the four games this series and five of the eight of this year’s NBA playoffs games.
The Nuggets elected to shut down the rest of the Timberwolves’ offensive options in Game 4 and let Edwards go off, and it worked. The 22-year-old dominated from start to finish, but the Nuggets never looked too worried. We don’t think Edwards has a back-to-back scoring explosion in him, so take a look at his points under in Game 5.
Under Looks Promising
Wolves vs Nuggets NBA odds are Denver -4.5, a total of 207. The series is dead even at 2-2 and the betting trends have followed the equality of the series. Each team has covered the spread twice and the first two games of the series went under the point total and the second two went over.
With the line back at 207 we are expecting another under in Game 5. Game 5 will be the most intense of the series so far, and the combination of the altitude and high stakes will keep scoring low.
The Nuggets seem to have figured something out over the last couple of games and no longer are allowing the Timberwolves to overwhelm them defensively. Their current odds to win the championship are +370 while the Timberwolves are +800. This discrepancy is not at all represented in the series odds of Nuggets -160 and Timberwolves +135.
The battleground moves to Ball Arena for a pivotal Game 5 on Tuesday night. Can the Nuggets maintain their momentum and steal home-court advantage? Or will the Timberwolves roar back in front of Denver’shome crowd? This series is far from over.
