Local Hero Favored to Win Boxing Gold in Paris
2024 Olympic Boxing Odds

Boxing at the Olympics is in full swing, but there is still a chance to back your favorite fighter.
2024 Olympic boxing odds have opened many markets, including for the Men’s 63.5kg division, where French hero Sofiane Oumiha is picked to win.
We have boxing betting predictions for men’s and women’s action in Paris this week, and there is good money to be made.
Oumiha Odds-On to Win
We are confident French boxer Oumiha can win the 63.5kg division, and he’s a -135 chance to do so.
He is the only boxer paying short odds to win gold in Paris, and the 29-year-old isn’t letting age define his career.
He won silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and although it has been a long time between drinks, his best form has come recently.
Oumiha’s boxing results are good enough to win the gold medal and improve on his 2016 result. He won gold at the 2021 World Championships in the lightweight division, and we think he’s better than his competitors.
“The games in Paris, I hope, will be magnificent,” Oumiha said. “Like any Olympiad, in any case I hope so.
”I’m used to big competitions. Obviously there we will be put in the spotlight even more, but no additional pressure.
“These will be my last Olympic Games.”
Getting -135 with 2024 Olympic boxing odds is a good enough price, and that’s better value than getting +350 for Ruslan Abdullaev and +550 for Lasha Guruli.
The experience of Oumiha makes him the best bet.
Panghal Eyes First Boxing Gold for India
All eyes are on Amit Panghal in the men’s 51kg boxing division.
The Indian is looking to become India’s first boxing gold medalist at the Olympic Games, and he’s a +400 chance to win.
The 28-year-old won the 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medal and 2018 silver medal, so he has been at the top of his game for some time.
He was upset at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when losing to Yuberjen Martinez in a split decision, so he’s looking to avenge that loss in Paris.
He’s the current second favorite behind Uzbekistan’s Hasanboy Dusmatov (+115), but the best value is with Panghal.
The Olympics is all about creating history, and his boxing odds are too good to overlook. We see him making it to the gold medal fight, and the +400 odds could be much shorter, should that happen.
It would make for a good story, so we’re backing Panghal to win gold in the 51kg men’s division.
Canadian Could Tear Through 75kg Division
Canadian women’s boxer Tammara Thibeault could win her country gold in the 75kg division.
She is a 27-year-old boxer from Saint-Georges, and although she was beaten in the quarterfinals in Tokyo, she has only improved since then.
Thibeault won gold in the middleweight division at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and at the 2022 World Championships in Istanbul.
The amateur has had a glittering career, and she could cap it off with a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Her 2024 Olympic boxing odds of +115 are likely to firm. She is the best boxer in the field, and although China’s Li Qian has support at +400, Thibeault has more upside at this level.
Take the odds before they shorten throughout the week.
Zidani Seeking Massive Upset
We like backing home country fighters, so we’re backing Amina Zidani at +1100 to win the women’s 57kg division.
She might not be the best fighter in the group, where Italy’s Irma Testa is favored with 2024 Olympic boxing odds at +225. However, it’s an open market, and upsets often happen in Olympic boxing.
Zidani has won big fights before, having won the 2023 European Games and earning a bronze at the 2023 World Championships in New Delhi.
There are five boxers quoted at odds lower than +1100, which means the gold medal is up for grabs, and she will have the French crowd behind her.
Lock in Zidani to pull off a mighty upset in the women’s 57kg ranks, and she will be at good odds to win her fights throughout the tournament.
