- Ahman and Hellvig were +100 favorites at the start of competition in Paris, while Ehlers and Wickler shared the fourth-best odds at +1200.
That will be proceeded by the bronze medal match featuring Younousse Cherif and Tijan Ahmed of Qatar facing Norway’s Anders Bernsten Mol and Christian Sandie Sorum, the reigning Olympic gold medalists.
What should bettors expect? Read on as we break down both matches and dive into the men’s beach volleyball final odds.
Bronze Medal Match
- Saturday, 3 p.m. ET
- Younousse Cherif & Tijan Ahmed (Qatar) vs Anders Berntsen Mol & Christian Sandie Sorum (Norway)
Cherif and Ahmed seek a second straight Olympic bronze medal after reaching the podium three years ago at Tokyo Summer Games.
- The Qatari team fell 13-21, 17-21 to Sweden’s Ahman and Hellvig in the semifinals. In the round prior, they eliminated the American duo of Miles Partain and Andrew Benesh in straight sets, 21-14 and 21-16.
Oddsmakers remain skeptical of their ability to medal again, pricing them +235 moneyline underdogs against Norway’s Mol and Sorum. They are also +1.5 (-112) on the spread.

Qatar, of course, is relatively new to beach volleyball compared to European countries like France, but Cherif and Ahmed have proven that history doesn’t matter.
The Norwegian duo’s bid for a second straight Olympic gold medal was snapped with a 2-1 defeat to Germany’s Ehlers and Wickler in the semifinals.
They’d won 18 golds over a 26-tournament stretch from 2018-23 and were the second-biggestfavorites on the men’s beach volleyball final odds board behind Sweden.
Mol and Sorum are now -290 favorites for bronze, including -1.5 (-108) on the spread.

Gold Medal Match
- Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET
- David Ahman & Jonatan Hellvig (Sweden) vs Nils Ehlers & Clemens Wickler (Germany)
Ahman and Hellvig arrived in Paris as +100 favorites to win gold, carrying a 16-match unbeaten streak into competition.
- The world No. 1 made quick work of Cherif and Ahmed in the semifinals, posting their second consecutive straight set win.
Oddsmakers are understandably bullish of their chances, listing them as -375 moneyline favorites to beat Ehlers and Wickler per Olympics medals odds. They are also -1.5 (-105) on the spread.
This is the 11th straight tournament final for Ehlers and Hellvig, who also have wonback-to-back European Championships.
Ehlers and Wickler, the last duo standing in their way of another gold medal, beat Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot of the Netherlands 22-20, 21-15 in the semifinals.
Their men’s beach volleyball final odds have soared from +1200 to +295 since the start of the tournament.
The German duo — which is also +1.5 (-115) on the spread — carries a string of eight consecutive Top-5 finishes.
