Napoli vs AC Milan Betting Game Preview

With 27 games played and an identical record of 17 wins, six draws, and four losses, Napoli vs AC Milan have all to play for Sunday as they’re only separated by goal difference. Both teams have the chance in the race for No. 1.

Napoli occupies the first spot as they have the better goal differential, although Inter Milian is lurking and have a game in hand. So, this is a must-win game if Napoli wants to remain on top.

With the battle line drawn at Naples, the quest for the 2021-22 Scudetto is going to be intense.

Napoli will have the home-ground advantage, and as a result, we’d expect them to come out with intense energy. In recent years, AC Milan have struggled to get anything from Naples. They only have one win and one draw in the last eight times they’ve played at Napoli.

However, Milan have a win and a draw in their last two games at Naples. So, there is a chance to take the game to Napoli. We don’t think it will be an easy time, however.

In addition to that, Napoli was victorious when they visited San Siro in the first leg. So, they will be looking for the first season sweep of AC Milan in Serie A since the 2016-17 season. The team will be counting on the home support here.

Both teams are already out of their respective European competitions, so they’re focusing on Serie A. Since they both are likely to secure a spot in the top four, then the m0ain focus is winning the league. Therefore, games like this will be a priority.

As a result, both teams can field their strongest 11 to battle it out. Although the likes of Anguissa, Malcuit, and Lozano are out for Napoli, we expect Mertens, Osimhen and Insigne to lead the line and deliver. AC Milan have most of their quad members available.

Aside from Romagnoli, injured during their Coppa Italia match against city rivals Inter Milan, and other previously injured players like Kjaer and Zlatan, Pioli have a solid side to use. In that case, this will be a closely-matched tie as both teams have their top scorers available.

Napoli will rely on Nigerian-born forward Osimhen to lead their attack and help get the goals, adding to his stats. AC Milan will, however, rely on their leading scorer, veteran French striker Oliver Giroud.

Gameweek 28 is underway, meaning that we are close to the season’s last week and things are just getting exciting. With the teams currently sitting in the first and second position opposing one another, the intensity of the match cannot be understated. We only expect a close game.

However, with Napoli having the edge at home and the better head-to-head record in recent years, they are the favorites, which justifies the spread. It won’t be easy, but we expect them to have a better game. However, we think the match looks to be a draw.

The spread is undoubtedly justified, but we do not see Napoli outclassing AC Milan over 90 minutes. This will be a thrilling match, with both teams bringing their “A”-game and fighting until the final whistle.
