With Roma in the midst of a UCL battle, we’ll preview the Roma vs Juventus lines.
Roma vs Juventus

Location: Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Italy
Roma vs Juventus Head-to-Head
Juventus have lost just one of their last four matches on the road at Roma. The Bianconeri also won this season’s reverse fixture as Adrien Rabiot scored the game’s only goal. The pregame Roma vs Juventus lines listed the eventual winners as +105 favorites. Notably, Juventus have lost just one of the last seven meetings on the Serie A schedule. Still, Roma have lost just one of the last three and managed to snag a 1-0 win vs. Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico last season.
Little Margin for Error for Roma
Roma remained competitive with unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday until an individual error allowed the visitors to score. Giallorossi right back Rick Karsdorp’s back pass was pounced on by Leverkusen’s Alex Grimaldo and he found Florian Wirtz to make it 1-0. Robert Andrich scored a second half screamer to double Leverkusen’s lead heading into the second leg of the Europa League Semifinal. While Roma have a mountain to climb to make their third straight European final, they have a good shot to make the Champions League.
Currently, Roma occupy the all-important fifth spot in Serie A. However, they’re just two points ahead of Atalanta, who have a game in hand. The Giallorossi have an important match at Atalanta next week that could decide who qualifies for the UCL. It would help a lot if Roma are also able to grab all three points here. Under Daniele De Rossi, Roma have been hard to beat in Serie A.
They’ve lost just one of their last 10 matches and drew 2-2 at Napoli last weekend. Tammy Abraham scored the game-tying goal for Roma, his first for a year after a long injury layoff. Heading into the weekend, Roma don’t have any injuries to report. Notably, only two teams have scored more goals than Roma in Serie A this season.
Juventus Struggling to Score Goals
Juventus had the lion’s share of chances in last weekend’s match vs. AC Milan. Rossoneri backup keeper Marco Sportiello made some excellent saves and Juve couldn’t get on the scoresheet. The match finished scoreless and it was Juve’s third straight draw in Serie A. Juventus sit in third place in the Serie A standings, six points ahead of Roma. It’ll take two wins from their last four matches to guarantee Champions League qualification.
Currently, the Italy Serie A odds list the Bianconeri at -2000 to make the top four. Along with matches vs. Roma, Salernitana, Bologna and Monza, Juventus will play in the Coppa Italia final vs. Atalanta on May 15th. It’s unclear whether this will be Massimiliano Allegri’s last season in charge of Juventus but fans have become impatient with the results on the field.
Juventus have only scored 47 goals in 34 games this season, with just three in their last five Serie A games. Just two players account for nearly half of Juventus’ Serie A goals this campaign. Dusan Vlahovic has scored 16 times this season, while Federico Chiesa has found the net on seven occasions. Only Mattia De Sciglio is out injured for Juventus on Sunday and he’s only managed to play once in an injury-plagued campaign.
Roma vs Juventus Match Analysis & Odds
The Roma vs Juventus lines imply this could be one of the closest matches of the weekend. Roma, having played on Thursday, are +190 underdogs, while visitors Juventus sit at +170 odds to win. A draw is also another feasible outcome, at +210, and it’d mark Juve’s fourth straight. If Roma are able to get a draw here, they’d at least be level on points with Atalanta heading into next week’s crucial matchup.
In this pick’em, Roma pk comes in at -105, while Juventus pk is priced at -115 odds. Roma have the Europa League and the Serie A Champions League race to juggle here, which could be a lot of pressure for De Rossi. Jose Mourinho wasn’t able to help Roma qualify for the UCL and it’ll be a major goal for Roma’s new manager.
A win here would do wonders for Roma’s chances and their confidence heading into next Thursday’s match at Bayer Leverkusen. Still, Juve are not an easy team to score on and this could end up being a dogfight. Over two goals show -120 odds but we have a feeling this one will be low scoring.
