Serie A Matchday 14 Odds & Fixtures Preview
Inter’s Four-Match Winning Streak Snapped
Napoli Still Looking Strong
Runaway title favorites Napoli are flying in Serie A and don’t look like they’ll be stopped. They’ve taken a six-point lead in the Serie A table and have a decent shot of winning the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the rest of Serie A’s top eight teams have struggled to gain much ground on each other. Just six points separate second place AC Milan and eight place Udinese. Each team plays just two more matches before the World Cup break and they’ll try to end the year on a high note. Let’s take a look at the midweek Serie A Matchday 14 odds.
Games of the Week:
Napoli may have lost to Liverpool in the Champions League midweek but continued their Serie A winning streak. The Partenopei fell behind 1-0 at Atalanta but Victor Osimhen and Elif Elmas sealed the win for Napoli. Napoli have now won nine matches in a row in the league and are looking like title favorites.
They’ll host Empoli on Tuesday, who defeated Sassuolo 1-0 over the weekend. Empoli were a thorn in Napoli’s side last season as the Tuscan side won both meetings. Empoli shutout Napoli 1-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last season but are huge underdogs here. Empoli show +1500 Serie A Matchday 14 odds to win a fourth straight Serie A match vs. Napoli. Meanwhile, the home side Napoli sit at -550 odds and are two-goal favorites.
Despite missing four matches this season, Osimhen is Serie A’s leading goal scorer. The Nigerian international will try to make it nine goals in ten matches on Tuesday. However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli’s second-leading scorer, is questionable for the match.
Coming off a loss in the Derby della Capitale, AS Roma need to get back in the win column at Sassuolo. Roma are now in sixth in the Serie A standings and have lost two of their last three games. Jose Mourinho’s team has struggled in big games this season and fell 1-0 to rivals Lazio on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Sassuolo have lost four of their last five matches and are also sliding down the table. They lost 1-0 to Empoli last weekend and sit at +260 odds to defeat Roma on Wednesday. The Serie A Matchday 14 odds price Roma as even money favorites and they’ve been great on the road this season. The Giallorossi have a 5-1-1 record away from home in Serie A.
Goalscoring has been a problem for Roma in recent weeks as they’ve averaged just one goal per game in their last four. Sassuolo have been shutout in their last two matches and are also struggling on the offensive end. Unsurprisingly, under three goals sits at -135 odds. Sassuolo are also unbeaten in their last four home matches vs. Roma and the last two have finished in draws. A draw shows +270 odds for Wednesday’s match.
Inter Milan fell 2-0 to rivals Juventus in the Derby d’Italia on Sunday and are looking to bounce back vs. Bologna. Juve snapped Inter’s four-game winning streak and Inter are now in seventh in the Serie A standings. Preseason Serie A predictions priced Inter as the most likely team to win the title but they’re eleven points off the pace. They are, however, -330 favorites to defeat Bologna on Wednesday.
BFC are on an impressive three-game Serie A winning streak which has vaulted them from 17th place to 12th. With seven goals, Marko Arnautovic is second in the Golden Boot race. Bologna will hope to improve on their 6-1 loss at Inter last season. BFC sit at just +875 odds to win but won at the San Siro in both 2019 and 2020. Meanwhile, Inter sit at -330 odds to get a sixth win in seven home matches.
Simone Inzaghi’s Inter were in good form prior to last week. Prior to the loss to Juventus, Inter lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Still, Inter advanced to the round of 16 and are just three points outside of the top four in Serie A. Inter are also Serie A’s only team without a draw so far. A draw is priced at +450 odds for this one as Inter are 1½-goal favorites.
