A quick look at the Serie A Matchday 22 slate shows an excellent clash between Lazio and Atalanta. The winner will finish the weekend in Serie A’s top four and inch a bit closer to a coveted Champions League berth. Meanwhile, Napoli are on a roll and have a 13-point lead at the top of the table. They’re expected to win again this weekend when they take on last-placed Cremonese. Roma have also entered the top four for the first time in a while and are just three points behind second-placed Inter Milan. We’ll take a look at the weekend’s biggest matches as we review the Serie A Matchday 22 odds.

Lazio vs Atalanta

Neither Lazio nor Atalanta came away with a win on Matchday 21. Fourth-placed Lazio drew for the third time in their last five matches, vs. Verona. Atalanta lost for the first time since November and failed to score for the first time since losing 2-0 to Lazio in October. Plus, Joakim Maehle and Luis Muriel picked up red cards in Atalanta’s 1-0 loss to Sassuolo. They’ll both miss Saturday’s match, which the Serie A Matchday 22 odds list as a pick’em.
Lazio come in at -150 to cover at home and +130 odds to win the match. They’re unbeaten in their last four matches vs. Atalanta, with two wins and two draws. Another draw sits at +245 odds and it’d be Lazio’s third straight in Serie A. Atalanta have just had their worst week of the season. Along with the loss vs. Sassuolo they were shut out in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals vs. Inter Milan last week. It’s the first time they’ve failed to score in consecutive matches all season. With two players suspended, Atalanta sit at +130 ATS odds and +210 odds to win. They’ll have to contain Lazio’s Ciro Immobile who’s fully fit following an injury. The reigning Serie A Golden Boot winner is yet to score since his return but is always a threat to get on the scoresheet. The Biancocelesti lost last week to Juventus in the Coppa Italia but are unbeaten in their last five Serie A matches. Both Lazio and Atalanta have averaged over 1.75 goals per game this season and over 2½ goals displays -125 odds.

AC Milan vs Torino

AC Milan have suffered through a miserable few weeks. They lost to their biggest rivals Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina and have lost their last three Serie A matches. The defending Serie A champions have dropped to sixth place in the table. Now, coach Stefano Pioli could be on the hot seat. Heading into next week’s Champions League tie vs. Tottenham, the Rossoneri desperately need to build some momentum. Milan take on a Torino side challenging for a European place on Friday.
AC Milan are -125 ATS and moneyline favorites according to the latest Serie A Matchday 22 odds. However, they’re winless in their last five Serie A matches, with three losses and two draws. A draw would break the Rossoneri’s four-game losing streak, in all competitions, and shows a +255 price. Goalkeeper Mike Maignan remains out but could feature next week vs. Tottenham. Defender Fikayo Tomori and midfielder Ismael Bennacer are also expected to sit out this match and return vs. Tottenham.
On the other hand, Torino have lost just one of their last five matches. They’re coming off a 1-0 win over Udinese but Torino +½ comes in at +105 odds. I Granata are also +365 underdogs but defeated AC Milan 2-1 in the reverse fixture. Torino don’t have a prolific striker as none of their players have scored more than four goals this season. Instead, they’ve relied on a defense that has conceded just over one goal per game. With both sides averaging just 2.2 goals per game combined over their last five matches, under 2½ displays -130 odds.
Lecce vs Roma

Roma moved into third place in the Serie A standings with a 2-0 win over Empoli. The Giallorossi got their work done early as they scored both of their goals within six minutes. Paulo Dybala assisted Roger Ibanez and Tammy Abraham on corners. Dybala has been a game changer for Roma this season and is helping to lead their Champions League charge. Jose Mourinho’s side head to Lecce on Saturday in search of a fourth win in their last five.
Lecce are coming off a 2-0 win at Cremonese but are +350 underdogs heading into Saturday. AS Roma are ½-goal favorites but both teams sit at -110 odds to cover. Roma are an impressive 6-3-2 on the road this season and also display -110 moneyline odds. The Giallorossi won the reverse fixture 2-1 as Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand picked up a red card within 25 minutes. Hjulmand is available for this match and has been a key player for Lecce this season. He’s second in Serie A, with 41 interceptions. Roma’s Ibanez is first, with 43.
A draw shows +230 odds and Lecce have drawn half of their ten home matches thus far. They’ll need to contain a dangerous attack with Dybala and Abraham at the forefront. Dybala is currently fifth in Serie A, with 13 goal contributions. Lecce and Roma have both had solid defenses this season but over two goals displays -125 odds for the match. Jose Mourinho’s Roma have notably kept three clean sheets in their last four Serie A matches.
Napoli vs Cremonese

Napoli won their fifth straight Serie A match as they blew away Spezia 3-0. Victor Osimhen was basically gifted two goals and he’s the runaway favorite for the Serie A Golden Boot. The impressive Nigerian international has scored 16 times this season, four more times than any other player. Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are numbers one and two in goal contributions in the league as well. Napoli’s dynamic duo have run riot this season and that could continue vs. last-placed Cremonese on Sunday.
The latest Serie A betting odds price Napoli as -550 favorites. The Partenopei, who have amassed a ridiculous 56 points in 21 matches, are favored by two-goals. They sit at -105 odds to cover the spread and two of their last four matches have finished in three-goal, or more, wins. Meanwhile, Cremonese are the only Serie A team without a win this season. They enter Serie A Matchday 22 with a 0-8-13 record. They’ve scored just 15 goals in 21 matches and are ten points from safety.
To be fair, Cremonese have kept most of their matches close. They haven’t lost by a three-goal margin since losing 4-1 to Napoli in October. Cremonese also knocked Napoli out of the Coppa Italia on penalties and are on to the semifinals after defeating Roma last week. They are priced at +1600 odds to win Coppa Italia. In the league, they’ve been dreadful, though. They are favored to cover the two-goal spread, at -115 odds, but are +1400 underdogs. Napoli have drawn just two matches this season and a tie shows +650 odds for the match. The Partenopei have scored at least twice in their last five matches and over three goals sits at -135 odds for the match.
