Serie A Matchday 24 Odds: AC Milan Go for Three in a Row
Turin’s Derby Della Mole Takes Center Stage
AC Milan Go for Three in a Row
Catching Napoli seems to be a nearly impossible feat at the moment. They still hold a 15-point lead over Inter Milan and have won seven straight matches. So, we’ll turn our attention to a big match between AC Milan and Atalanta on Sunday. Defending champions Milan currently occupy the fourth and final Champions League spot but Atalanta can leapfrog them with a win. Plus, Turin’s Derby della Mole between Juventus and Torino is next Tuesday. We’ll take a look at the Serie A Matchday 24 odds from the best games over the next week.
Matches of the Week
After a long rough patch, AC Milan will go for three Serie A wins in a row on Sunday. They’ve kept three consecutive shutouts, in all competitions, and can further boost their UCL odds with a win here. Meanwhile, Atalanta have been inconsistent over the last few weeks.
They defeated Lazio a couple weeks back sandwiched in between losses to Sassuolo and Lecce. The Serie A betting odds price the hosts Milan at +115 ATS and moneyline odds for Sunday’s match.
The Rossoneri have done quite well in this fixture recently. They’re unbeaten in the last four meetings, with three wins during that time. Milan have also greatly improved on defense over the past few weeks.
Some of the catalysts for that have been Stefano Pioli’s switch to a back three and the introduction of 21-year old Malick Thiaw in the starting lineup. Even so, Atalanta +½ comes in at -135 and the visitors sit at +260 odds to win the match.
These teams drew 1-1 back in August and another draw is priced at +220 odds. Milan will be missing defender Davide Calabria in this match and midfielder Ismael Bennacer, who scored in the reverse fixture, is day-to-day.
Goalkeeper Mike Maignan is nearing a return but may be back closer to the Champions League match vs Tottenham on March 8th. Meanwhile, Atalanta defender Merih Demiral is suspended for this match and forward Duvan Zapata is out. Still, La Dea are well equipped with Ademola Lookman and Rasmus Hojlund up top. Over 2½ goals for Sunday’s match show -115 odds.
Even with Juve’s 15-point deduction for improper conduct in transfer dealings, they’re challenging for a European spot. Juventus are in seventh place, with 32 points down from 47. They’ll try to further close the nine-point gap between them and Atalanta when they take on Torino on Tuesday.
These Turin rivals will contest another edition of the Derby della Mole, which Juventus have dominated recently. The Bianconeri are unbeaten in the last 17 editions and Torino don’t have an away win in this fixture since 1995. Juventus also got a huge 3-0 away win over Nantes on Thursday to advance to the Europa League round of 16.
Angel di Maria scored his first Juventus hat trick in the victory. Now, the Serie A Matchday 24 odds price Juventus as -130 ATS and moneyline favorites for Tuesday’s match. While Juventus are expected to have a good shot to win the match, they’ve got some notable absences. Manuel Locatelli is suspended and Fabio Miretti and Arkadiusz Milik are injured.
Federico Chiesa is day-to-day as well. Torino’s Ola Aina is also suspended for the match, while Valentino Lazaro is out due to injury. Samuele Ricci and Nikola Vlasic are also listed at day-to-day.
With attacking absences expected on both sides, under 2½ goals come in at -145 odds. Juventus still have quite a front line with Dusan Vlahovic and Angel di Maria. Meanwhile, Torino will rely on Aleksei Miranchuk, Wilfried Singo and Antonio Sanabria.
The Granata drew 2-2 with Cremonese on Monday and are just one point behind Juve in the table. Torino +½ shows +110 odds, while the visitors also display +395 odds to win. Torino would certainly be happy to come away with a draw here and one is priced at +260 odds.
Other Important Matches
Empoli is the unfortunate team that has to go up against Napoli this weekend. Napoli have completely dominated Serie A up to this point and are on pace for over 100 points this season. Along with a seven-game Serie A winning streak they also won the first leg of their Champions league round of 16 fixture vs Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday, 2-0.
Victor Osimhen got on the scoresheet once again and is proving to be one of the best strikers in Europe this season. Georgian sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also registered a ridiculous backheel assist on Giovanni di Lorenzo’s goal.
Unsurprisingly, Napoli are one-goal road favorites and display -135 odds to cover. The Partenopei also come in as -225 moneyline favorites at Empoli. Punters shouldn’t disrespect Empoli, though. They have lost just one of their last nine matches and defeated Inter Milan recently.
Inter are, after all, the only team to beat Napoli in Serie A this season. Still, it is hard to find many Serie A game predictions lately that don’t involve Napoli winning. Empoli +1 currently sits at +115 odds and the hosts show just +585 odds to win.
Napoli got a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture but Empoli shockingly won the previous two meetings before that. Only one of the last ten meetings has finished in a draw and bettors will find a tie at +375 odds. On their winning streak, Napoli have scored at least twice in every match they’ve played. Meanwhile, Empoli have found the net in eight of their last nine Serie A matches. As a result, over 2½ goals sit at -140 odds. Notably, two Empoli midfielders, Filippo Bandinelli and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, are suspended for this match.
Bologna, along with Inter Milan, Roma and Juventus, have gained 10 points in their last five matches. Only Napoli have earned more points in Serie A during that time frame. Bologna will hope to continue their solid form when they host Inter on Sunday. BFC did defeat Inter at home last season but have lost two of the last three meetings by a 6-1 scoreline.
The latest 6-1 match wasn’t all that long ago, as Federico Dimarco scored a brace in November’s meeting. The visiting Nerazzurri come into this match as ½-goal favorites. It certainly won’t take a five-goal margin to cover and Inter show -140 ATS and moneyline odds.
The Serie A Matchday 24 Odds also price Thiago Motta’s Bologna at +385 odds to get their fifth win in their last seven matches. I Rossoblu sit at +120 odds to cover the spread as well. Despite their good form, Bologna have only kept three clean sheets all season.
Inter were firing on all cylinders in a 3-1 win over Udinese last weekend but under 2½ goals display -115 odds for the match. Inter also got an important 1-0 victory over FC Porto in the first leg of the UCL round of 16 on Wednesday. In an incredibly welcome sight, Romelu Lukaku has scored in consecutive matches. Lukaku has struggled with injury problems and his form since returning on loan from Chelsea.
If Simone Inzaghi has a healthy and in-form Lukaku, Inter could close the season out very well. He does have quite a healthy squad otherwise, as only Joaquin Correa is on the injury list. That isn’t true for Bologna, who will be missing attackers Marko Arnautovic and Joshua Zirkzee.
Nicola Sansone, Adama Soumaoro, Stefan Posch and Kevin Bonifazi are all listed as day-to-day as well. With their injury issues, Bologna may be happy to escape with a draw. One shows +275 odds for Sunday’s match.
