2024 Serie A Season Odds: Inter Milan in Pole Position for Repeat
Will We See a Fourth Champion in as Many Years?
Inter Milan clinched their 20th Scudetto against their biggest rivals, AC Milan last season. While that scenario may never be repeated, Inter feel confident about their chances to win back-to-back Serie A titles.
As one of the top five leagues with the most parity, Serie A has had three different champions in the last three seasons. So, don’t be surprised to see a tight title race in 2024-25. With the start of the campaign just over a week away, we’ll preview the 2024 Serie A season odds.

Inter Lead Field
Former AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho said that “Inter [Milan] should win the league by 20 points” early last season. They went on to win Serie A by 19 points, with 29-7-2 record, as Lautaro Martinez led the league with 24 goals. Not much has changed this Summer, as all of Inter’s key players (Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, Marcus Thuram) are returning.
Inter have taken advantage of the free agent market over the last few seasons and this Summer has been no different. They’ve added former Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski and FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi to a well-balanced squad.
Simone Inzaghi is one of the best coaches in Europe at the moment, and the only major trophy he hasn’t won with Inter is the Champions League. Inter, who kick off their 2024-25 Serie A schedule against Genoa on August 17th, will challenge on all fronts this season.
The Nerazzurri come in at -135 odds to repeat as champions.
Title Challengers
Since winning nine Serie A titles in a row from 2011-12 to 2019-20, Juventus are without a Scudetto in the last four seasons. Their ambition to return to the top of Italian football is clear, though, as they brought in former Bologna boss Thiago Motta.
Motta led Bologna to the Champions League last season and since he’s joined, Juventus have already signed midfielders Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram, along with goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. Juventus came in third place last season, with 71 points, and their 2024 Serie A season odds are +350.
Napoli won their first Scudetto since the Diego Maradona days in 2022-23, but last season was nothing short of tumultuous. They had the worst season for defending champions in the three-points per win era, as they picked up just 53 points and finished in 10th place.
The Partenopei have responded by hiring Antonio Conte and shoring up their defense with Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino. With star striker Victor Osimhen likely to leave before the end of the transfer window, Conte wants to bring in Romelu Lukaku.
Napoli have a lot of work to do to contend again, but they are priced at +450 odds to win a second Serie A crown in three years.
AC Milan could end up being Inter’s biggest challengers once again. The Rossoneri finished in second place in the 2023- 2024 Serie A standings , at 22-9-7. Paulo Fonseca has replaced outgoing coach Stefano Pioli, while Milan signed Euro 2024-winning striker Alvaro Morata to replace Olivier Giroud.
Milan have an excellent keeper, in Mike Maignan and the frontline of Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Morata is one of the league’s best. Perhaps the Rossoneri show some value, at +650 outright odds.
Dark Horses
Atalanta had their best season in club history in 2023-24, and coach Gian Piero Gasperini signed a contract extension in the offseason. La Dea came in fourth place in Serie A, won the Europa League, and were Coppa Italia runners-up. Their success shows Atalanta can juggle multiple competitions at once and a first Serie A title is the goal.
However, striker Gianluca Scamacca recently suffered a serious knee injury, which could keep him out all season. El Bilal Toure will have to step up in the Italian international’s absence if La Dea are to have a chance at finishing ahead of Inter.

AS Roma looked like a completely different team when Daniele De Rossi replaced Mourinho. They reached the Europa League Semifinals under the novice coach and finished in sixth place in Serie A.
Roma have made three major signings in the offseason as well, including 2023-24 La Liga top scorer Artem Dovbyk, Juventus youth product Matias Soule and central midfielder Matias Soule. With a healthy Paulo Dybala, the sky’s the limit for Roma. They’re +2500 Serie A dark horses at the moment.
Longshots
- Lazio (+5000) are going through a transition period and it could be a painful one. Ciro Immobile, Felipe Anderson and Luis Alberto are all gone as the Roman side look to rebuild their attack.
- Fiorentina (+10000) always seem to be in the race for European football, and reached the Conference League final in 2023-24, but don’t have the depth to mount a serious title challenge.
- Bologna (+10000) are playing in the Champions League this season but shipped out key players Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee to the Premier League.
- Torino (+25000) had the fourth-best defensive record in the league last season but scored only 36 goals. They’ll hope that new signing Che Adams can help with their offensive woes.
- Como (+25000) may be one of the most entertaining teams in the league this season under Cesc Fabregas. They’ve made 14 signings upon returning to Serie A including Alberto Dossena, Raphael Varane and Andrea Belotti. They may not be title challengers, at least not yet, but their Serie A scores are worth paying attention to.
