With three consecutive wins, Atalanta has vaulted to the top of the Serie A table. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side has responded incredibly well to missing out on European competition altogether last season. It’s a very competitive table so far, though, as just four points separate first and eighth. There are also four teams who remain unbeaten heading into Matchday 6. Napoli vs Spezia: Saturday 9:00 a.m. EST

The biggest surprise of Champions League Matchday 1 was Napoli’s resounding 4-1 win over Liverpool. The Partenopei are also unbeaten in Serie A and take on Spezia on Saturday. The Serie A Matchday 6 odds price Napoli as -350 favorites as they look to continue their momentum.

Their new signings have made a big impact so far as winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has taken the league by storm. New striker Giovanni Simeone also scored on his UCL debut after Victor Osimhen departed with an injury. Osimhen is expected to be out until October with a hamstring injury so Simeone may be getting a lot of time over the next month.

Spezia has already played two of last season’s top four teams and lost 3-0 to Inter and 2-0 to Juventus. The +950 underdogs shockingly beat Napoli 1-0 last season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli is a 1½-goal favorite and in four previous wins vs Spezia, they’ve won by a multi-goal margin.

Inter Milan vs Torino: Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

It’s been a difficult week for Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan. Inter fell in 3-2 in the Milan derby last weekend and Bayern Munich defeated them 2-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday. The favorites, at +275 odds to win Serie A, are in eighth place after five matches and have lost two of their last three in the league.

They face a tricky customer, in Torino, on Saturday. Torino has opened up the season with three wins, a loss, and a draw and enters the weekend in sixth. Still, Inter is -225 favorites and shows -145 odds to cover the one-goal spread. They’re on a five-game scoring streak to open up the Serie A season but Torino has kept two shutouts so far.

A draw, which occurred the last time these teams played, sits at +400 odds. Inter are unbeaten in each of the last six meetings so it’s not too much of a surprise that Torino is priced as +625 underdogs.

Sampdoria vs AC Milan: Saturday, 2:45 p.m.

Two of Italy’s most historic clubs meet on Saturday as Sampdoria host AC Milan. Sampdoria has fallen on hard times and is currently in the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Milan started off their title defense solidly and was buzzing after their 3-2 derby win vs Inter.

Rafael Leao was the standout vs Inter, recording two goals and an assist. He’s establishing himself as one of the best players in Serie A and will undoubtedly pose a danger to Sampdoria. Milan is -190 road favorites, according to the Serie A Matchday 6 odds, and has won four of the last five meetings. The over/under goals total stands at 2½ but AC Milan eked out 1-0 wins in both matches last season.

Plus, Sampdoria can’t seem to buy a goal. La Samp is Serie A’s joint-lowest scoring team so far, with two goals. Milan will look to extend Sampdoria’s misery, as the Genoa club are still yet to win this season.

Atalanta vs Cremonese: Sunday, 6:30 a.m. 

On top of the Serie A standings through five matches, Atalanta has dropped points just once this season. They drew 1-1 with defending champions AC Milan on Matchday 2 but have won three straight since. Last weekend La Dea beat Serie A newcomers Monza 2-0 and they face another newly promoted team on Sunday.

Cremonese has struggled in their return to Serie A, with just one point through five matches. Their schedule has also been absolutely brutal, with matches vs Fiorentina, Inter, Roma, Sassuolo, and Torino. Cremonese is coming off a scoreless draw vs Sassuolo and has been competitive in all but one of their matches. Still, they’re priced at +800 to win and are 1½-goal underdogs.

Meanwhile, Atalanta shows -285 odds to extend their winning streak to four games. Teun Koopmeiners is just one game removed from a hat trick and the Dutchman has scored four times this season. Most importantly, Atalanta has been solid on defense and only conceded two goals so far. Cremonese does sit at -135 odds to score in this match, though.

Sassuolo vs Udinese Calcio: Sunday, 9:00 a.m.

Sassuolo has managed straight scoreless draws and is expected to be in another tight match vs Udinese on Sunday. Udinese has rattled off three consecutive wins, with the last two coming over Fiorentina and Roma. The Friulian club is in fourth place so far and turning more than a few heads.

Udinese is a very slight favorite at Sassuolo, at +165 odds. In this pick’em, Sassuolo sits at +170 odds to win and a draw is listed at +250. Four of the last eight meetings between these teams have finished in draws. Udinese is also unbeaten vs Sassuolo during that span, conceding just five goals.

Even though both teams have kept consecutive shutouts, they’re expected to score in this match. Both teams to score sits at -190 odds and it occurred in both matchups last season. With seven goals in their last three matches, it would be a little surprising if Udinese failed to get on the board. They thrashed AS Roma 4-0 last weekend and 19-year-old wingback Destiny Udogie scored his second goal of the season. He and forward Beto are tied for the team lead.
