Olympiacos Take on Fiorentina in First UEFA Final
UEFA Europa Conference League Final: Olympiacos vs Fiorentina Predictions

Fiorentina Make Back-to-Back Finals
Fiorentina are out for revenge in the UEFA Europa Conference League Final as they fell 2-1 to West Ham in last season’s Final.
On Wednesday, Fiorentina head to Greece to take on Olympiacos in the 2024 Conference League Final as Olympiacos will contest their first-ever UEFA Final.
While Fiorentina took down Club Brugge in the Semifinal, Olympiacos grabbed two unexpected wins over Aston Villa.
With a spot in next season’s Europa League on the line, we’ll make some Olympiacos vs Fiorentina predictions ahead of the match.
Olympiacos vs Fiorentina Head-to-Head
Bettors can’t look to a direct head-to-head history to make Olympiacos vs Fiorentina predictions, as this will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
Fiorentina are 1-3-1 vs Greek teams all-time and Olympiacos are 7-5-16 vs Italian teams. Fiorentina haven’t played a Greek team since 2016, when they drew and lost to PAOK.

Meanwhile, Olympiacos are 2-6 vs Italian teams over the last decade.
Mendilibar Working Wonders for Olympiacos
José Luis Mendilibar took over as Sevilla coach last March and he delivered a Europa League title by the end of May. Mendilibar’s Sevilla took down Manchester United, Juventus and Roma en route to the title.
Fired last October after a slow start to the La Liga season, Mendilibar became the coach of Olympiacos in February. In his first match, Olympiacos defeated Ferencvaros 1-0 in the first leg of the Conference League Playoff.
Since then, the Spanish coach has guided Olympiacos to their first UEFA Semifinal and Final. In the semis, Olympiacos were big underdogs vs Aston Villa but Ayoub El Kaabi managed to score five goals over two legs in a 6-2 aggregate Olympiacos victory.
Today’s soccer odds still list Olympiacos as underdogs vs Fiorentina even though they’re playing a 15 minute drive from their home stadium.
El Kaabi leads the Conference League with 10 goals in eight appearances while Rodinei, Santiago Hezze, Chiquinho, Daniel Podence and Kostas Fortounis have also made big contributions.
Olympiacos are 15-2-5 under Mendilibar, in all competitions, and certainly have a shot to come away with their first major European trophy here. Left back Francisco Ortega is listed as questionable but the rest of Olympiacos’ key players should be on the field here.
Mendilibar’s side has done almost everything but win the Final in the knockout stage. They overturned a 4-1 deficit in the Round of 16 vs Maccabi Tel Aviv on the road and took down Fenerbahce in penalties in Turkey.
The 6-2 win over Aston Villa was unexpected but Olympiacos have proven to be a big danger when counterattacking.
Fiorentina Spoil Ranieri’s Farewell
Fiorentina spoiled outgoing Cagliari manager Claudio Ranieri’s last ever match as a manager last Thursday. The Viola took a 1-0 lead but ended up trailing 2-1 by the 85th minute.
Fiorentina leading scorer Nicolas Gonzalez equalized and Arthur Melo scored a last gasp penalty winner.
The Fiorentina standings show Vincenzo Italiano’s side finished in eighth place in Serie A. Should Fiorentina win the Conference League Final, the ninth-placed team in the Serie A standings, Torino, will play in next season’s UECL.
It’s certainly not a surprise the Viola are back in the Conference League Final. With a 6-6-0 record, Fiorentina are still unbeaten in the Conference League this season.
In the knockout stage, they’ve taken down Maccabi Haifa, Viktoria Plzen and Club Brugge to reach the Final. Lucas Beltran scored the goal vs Club Brugge that sent the Viola to the Final and he leads Fiorentina with four Conference League goals. Luca Ranieri, Antonin Barak and M’Bala Nzola have also scored three UECL goals.
Meanwhile, Giacomo Bonaventura, who scored a stunner vs Cagliari, is finally fully fit after some recent injury issues.
Notably, Fiorentina are 2-4-0 on the road in the Conference League and this could have the feel of a road match for them.
The Viola have also conceded in eight straight games, in all competitions. Bettors should expect Riccardo Sottil to miss this match, with a shoulder problem.

A draw (+220) would mean the first Conference League Final to go to extra time. Olympiacos have already been to extra time twice in the competition so far, and they’ve shown composure under Mendilibar.
