Nadal Could Steal The Show At The French Open
Alcaraz, Djokovic, and Sinner Headline the 2024 French Open Men's Tennis Odds

Alcaraz and Djokovic Could Be On a Collision Course In the French Open Final
With Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner are the top seeds and the players leading the way in the 2024 French Open men’s odds, it is unseeded Rafael Nadal who will be the center of attention when the Grand Slam tournament gets underway.
Nadal, who has won more French Open men’s singles titles than any other players, has a challenging first match against No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev.
Five of the top six seeds in the 2023 French Open men’s singles draw reached the quarterfinals. The lone exception was No. 2 seed Daniil Medvedev as he fell in the first round. Djokovic took out Djokovic in the semifinals and then topped Casper Ruud in three tough sets to win another Grand Slam title.
When looking at the French Open schedule, the qualifying draw is currently underway while the main draw at Roland Garros begins on Sunday. If the seeds hold true, it would be Djokovic and Alexander Zverev in one semifinal with Sinner meeting Alcaraz in the other.

Is This The Year For Alcaraz?
It seems more like a case of when and not if Carlos Alcaraz will win at the French Open. Alcaraz is the front-runner at +175 in the 2024 French Open men’s odds.
Alcaraz is the No. 3 seed in this year’s tournament but he will be a tough out as long as he is healthy.
Americans Ben Shelton and Sebastian Korda are in the same quarter of the draw as is Andrey Rublev.
Alcaraz hasn’t played since a loss to Rublev in the Madrid quarterfinals as an arm injury forced him to pull out of the Italian Open.
Novak’s Title Hopes Are No Djoke
Djokovic trails Alcaraz in the tennis betting odds but never count out the three-time champion at Roland Garros. There is plenty of value to take Djokovic at +275 to win in Roland Garros.
The first name to jump out in Djokovic’s portion of the draw is Lorenzo Musetti as he topped Djokovic in the 2023 Monte Carlo event.
Can American Tommy Paul slow Djokovic’s quest to extend his record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles? Fellow American Taylor Fritz is in this quarter of the draw as is Casper Ruud, the player that Djokovic defeated in the 2023 French Open final.
Plenty of Big Names For Sinner to Tame
No. 2 seed Jannik Sinner is another top contender according to the 2024 French Open men’s odds who needs to shake off some rust.
He opens with hard-serving American Christopher Eubanks. Next up would be veteran French star Richard Gasquet or former US Open quarterfinalist Borna Coric. Between the two of them, they enter this year’s tournament having played in the French Open 27 times.
Cameron Norrie could be the first seed in Sinner’s path although Norrie could contend with either Stan Wawrinka or Andy Murray in the second round.
Hubert Hurkacz could be waiting in the quarterfinals in what could be a tough draw for the reigning Australian Open champion.
Can Nadal Make a Run?
No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev is fourth at +600 in the odds to win the French Open. However, his first-round opponent is the one who will capture the hearts of the tennis fans. It would be a match to highlight in the first round in the French Open tennis schedule.
Rafael Nadal is a 14-time French Open champion nearing the end of a Hall of Fame career.
As of right now, he is still in the field even though he has been dealing with injuries. Nadal hasn’t played at Roland Garros since dropping just six games in a straight-set win over Ruud in the 2022 French Open men’s singles final.
Could you imagine the atmosphere if he made it through to the semifinals and matched up with Djokovic for the 60th time? They haven’t played since Nadal topped Djokovic in four sets in the 2022 French Open quarterfinals.
Good luck coming up with an opening-round clash that will attract the attention of the one between Nadal (+1100 in the French Open outrights) and Zverev.
Daniil Medvedev is the No. 5 seed as he looks to make it to his third straight Grand Slam singles final.
Alex de Minaur, Holger Rune, and Karen Khachanov are among the seeded players capable of preventing a Medvedev-Zverev quarterfinal.
Tough Draws For Top U.S. Players
No U.S.-born player has won the men’s singles title at the French Open since Andre Agassi in 1999. It has been a challenge for the top Americans to get through to the quarterfinals in recent years and it could be more of the same this year.
Tommy Paul could run into veteran Fabio Fognini in the second round. Federico Coria, who has reached a pair of clay-court finals in his career, is first up for Taylor Fritz. Both of them would likely need to upset Djokovic to reach the quarterfinals.
Alex Michelsen drew No. 11 seed Alex de Minaur in the first round
Alcaraz could be waiting for Sebastian Korda in the third round while Hubert Hurkacz could be in the path of American Frances Tiafoe.
Then there is Christopher Eubanks who drew Sinner in his opening match.
Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe and Martin Giron were the last Americans in the 2023 French Open men’s singles draw before they all lost in the third round.
