Value Odds for Top Seed Coco Gauff at WTA Berlin
2024 Ecotrans Ladies Open

The WTA heads to Germany and it’s Aryna Sabalenka headlining 2024 Ecotrans Ladies Open odds.
- The Belarussian is a +200 favorite, but Coco Gauff is the top seed, and she’s paying +500.
Bettors get excellent value for the WTA Berlin event, where WTA live rankings will change depending on the outcome.
Taking the Risk with Gauff
We’re happy to take the risk backing Gauff on a grass court because the odds are too good to pass up.
She hasn’t had the best recent results at Wimbledon, including a first round loss in 2023. However, she lost in the fourth round in 2021, so she can play good tennis on the slower court.
The 2023 US Open champion is the top seed for this tournament, so she is better suited to winning this tournament compared to Sabalenka.
We tend to agree, given Sabalenka’s struggles to close out anything but the Australian Open, which is a completely different surface.
Gauff also won the French Open doubles, and although it’s doubles, it gives her confidence.
“After I lost the first two (doubles) finals, I thought, well, okay, I reached that point, maybe I should focus on singles,” Gauff said. “Same thing, US Open. When I won it, I didn’t expect to win. I was having a really bad year. Then here, I didn’t even expect to play. I think it’s funny how life teaches you those lessons.”
Gauff’s tennis record speaks volumes of her potential, and she’s only 20. Getting +500 with 2024 Ecotrans Ladies Open odds is generous, and we expect those odds to firm considerably throughout the tournament.
Time to Shine for Sabalenka
Being the second seed could irk Sabalenka, but winning would silence the critics.
The WTA rankings have her third in the world behind Iga Swiatek and Gauff, but that’s because she keeps going deep in tournaments and fails to win.
Apart from her victories in the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024, she hasn’t won enough on the WTA Tour.
However, she is more than accustomed to winning on grass courts after making the Wimbledon semis in 2021 and 2023.
- That should give the favorite confidence, but getting +200 is tough to take. She’s a quality player with an excellent serve and power game, but she’s not the best in terms of her mental game.
She can hold a sizable lead and fold under pressure, but because this isn’t a grand slam tournament, she’s worth including in selections as a second pick.
Grass Specialist Rybakina Gunning for Win
Having a Wimbledon win on her record makes Elena Rybakina tough to overlook as the second favorite.
- She is a +335 chance with 2024 Ecotrans Ladies Open odds, and that’s deservingly so after winning Wimbledon in 2022.
The 25-year-old was a beaten quarterfinalist last year, but her best grand slam results have come on grass courts.
Much like Sabalenka, she has a powerful serve, which she can use to her advantage in Berlin.
“It’s just a matter of hitting more serves with the same motion, getting that power and timing just right. So it’s a continuous work,” Rybakina said.
Her recent form has been mixed, but this is the time of the year where she does most of her damage.
Rybakina’s odds will firm as the tournament progresses, so it’s best to jump on the +335 odds now.
Is Zheng Worth Backing?
Qinwen Zheng made headlines when making the 2024 Australian Open final, but her form since has been only fair.
The 21-year-old Chinese player made the third round of the French Open two weeks ago, but more is expected of her.
She burst onto the scene this year, which saw her tennis odds firm for regular WTA tournaments. Zheng was unable to win those, but she clearly has ability.
We’re hoping she doesn’t fall into the Emma Raducanu or Leylah Fernandez category, but there is still time for Zheng to show her best tennis.
- She pays +2500 to win the tournament in Berlin, and those odds are worth including as a saver bet.
