Back Spivac to Beat Tybura in Heavyweight Rematch
Tybura vs Spivac 2 Odds: Side with the Younger Fighter
Sergey Spivac looks to avenge his early-career loss to Marcin Tybura when the heavyweights meet at UFC Fight Night. The Tybura vs Spivac 2 odds have him at -160 to get back into UFC Heavyweight title contention against the much older fighter.
We have UFC fight picks for the main event in Las Vegas on Saturday, and it’s an important fight in the division.
Tybura Showing Impressive Form
Despite being 38 years of age, the Polish fighter looked good when submitting Tai Tuivasa in March.
The round one victory showcased his power and ability to put fighters to sleep, and the +130 underdog looks to go 2-0 against Spivac. He beat him in 2020 by limiting Spivac to just 26 significant strikes as he controlled the tempo over three rounds.
Five rounds for this fight make things interesting. But if Tybura controls the octagon, he will be tough to beat.
His 2024 UFC results have been good, and it was an excellent bounce back to beat Tuivasa following a loss to interim champion Tom Aspinall.
Tybura was knocked out in the first round against Aspinall, and getting KO’d isn’t easy to come back from.
He might be the underdog with Tybura vs Spivac 2 odds, but he shouldn’t be overlooked, and he knows Spivac will be aggressive in the early stages, like Aspinall.
“That was my biggest danger — fighters storming at me in the first minute, I knew if the fight would go on, I would be getting a better chance to win it, but the biggest danger is in the first minute of the fight.” Tybura said.
Spivac Has Age on His Side
Younger fighters have around a 66% win rate in the UFC, so this is the perfect time for Spivac to right the wrongs of his 2020 loss.
The 29-year-old Moldovan is having his first fight in 2024. He lost to Ciryl Gane by knockout in the second round last September. This followed a submission win over Derrick Lewis, so he has enough ability to beat the best fighters in the heavyweight division.
Spivac also showed excellent power when knocking out Greg Hardy and Augusto Sakai in consecutive fights in 2022, and if Spivac turns up to fight, he should win.
The UFC odds expect him to win at -160, so there are high expectations on his shoulders.
“I never focus on one aspect of the game. Me and my coaches work hard and try to improve in all areas of mixed martial arts, this fight to me is just a next fight in my career, against an opponent who is ranked higher than me in the world rankings. I just need to keep marching forward. I just need to win.” Spivac said.
The 16-4 fighter will need to be at his very best to beat Tybura, but there is confidence in his camp, and that’s good to see.
He is an elite-level heavyweight fighter, and a win over Tybura could propel him to a rematch against Gane.

Spivac to Bring Hammer Down on Tybura
We’re backing Spivac to win with the Tybura vs Spivac 2 odds, and the -160 is a fair price from the sportsbook. He looks to bounce back from a tough TKO loss, but he has had a lot of time to prepare for this fight.
Tybura isn’t getting any younger, and winning as a 38-year-old in the heavyweight division isn’t an easy task.
That should leave Spivac to control the fight and look for an early knockout or submission, and we think this fight will be over in the first few rounds.
The current total rounds line is 3.5, and the under pays -115, so we’re including that option in our UFC picks.
Tybura and Spivac are known to end their fights quickly, and we can’t see them being timid on Saturday night. They need the win to stay relevant in the title hunt, so a quick fight is a good fight in their eyes.
