Edwards Welterweight Title Odds Generous vs Muhammad
Edwards vs Muhammad UFC 304

Leon Edwards put his UFC welterweight title on the line against Belal Muhammad at UFC 302 on Saturday.
Edwards vs Muhammad UFC 304 odds have the champion at -235 to win, which we think is a value price for the favorite.
The Brit has beaten the best fighters in the division, and with the first fight against Muhammad ending in a no contest, they run it back in Manchester, England.
Third Title Defense for Edwards
The 32-year-old won the title against one of the best UFC fighters of all time, Kamaru Usman, before defending it against Usman and Colby Covington.
Edwards hasn’t been dodging quality fighters since becoming champion, and although Muhammad is a quality fighter, we don’t think he’s any better than Usman or Covington.
We liked that Edwards had two fights in 2023 on his UFC schedule, and although he hasn’t fought since December, he earned the right to have a few months off.
The British boxer, who will have the home crowd behind him on Saturday, is the worthy favorite with Edwards vs Muhammad UFC 304 odds, and he’s confident of a victory.
The first meeting ended with an eye poke, but Edwards believes it didn’t have much of an effect.
“I was going for a cross head kick. As I went for the cross, my finger kind of, like, touched, just under his eye… The way he was crying out to end the fight, I actually thought I went into his eyeball, but I didn’t. It kind of went, like, just under his lid… Skill for skill, I was the better man.” Edwards said.
Class is with Edwards, and we thought his odds would be shorter. He is one of the best champions in the UFC, and we would have been prepared to take -350 for the current welterweight champion.
Muhammad Verging on Overrated Tag
Muhammad is a quality fighter, but he hasn’t fought the best in the division, and that’s why we can’t entertain the +195 odds.
The 36-year-old has been talking up a big game, stating that Edwards gave up against Kamaru Usman, despite winning with a head kick in the fifth round, so we’re not entirely sure what he means.
“It just shows me that you do not have that dog in you. You do not have that man in you. He is not really a champion. I am going to dominate him, I am going to drown him, I am going to make it the worst night of his life,” Muhammad.
We’re not sure how a late head kick to win the UFC title is giving up, but his trash talk has never been a strength.
Muhammad comes off a win over Gilbert Burns. He landed 132 significant strikes to Burns’ 81, so it was a good performance, despite Burns not being on the same level as Edwards.
He defeated Sean Brady prior to that, and although Brady is 16-1, he’s nowhere close to the top of the welterweight rankings.
Edwards vs Muhammad UFC 304 odds are right to have the challenger as the underdog, and a Muhammad win would be a major surprise.
Easy Money in the Main Event
Our UFC predictions are very confident of an Edwards victory, and we can’t see him losing his belt at UFC 304.
He is the much better fighter, and although Muhammad has come with the big trash talk game, he might be silenced on fight night.
We’re happy to back Edwards outright at -235 and also by decision. It’s likely to go the distance, so taking over 4.5 rounds is another good betting option.
Over has been backed into -210, so it has been significantly backed to go the distance. It’s hard to disagree, considering Edwards’ last two title defenses have gone to the final bell.
Betting on Edwards to win by decision also pays healthy odds, so there are multiple ways to profit on the main event at UFC 304.
It could be a five-round classic at Co-Op Live in Manchester, and Edward could rack up impressive significant strike numbers to thwart the challenge of Muhammad.
