Kara-France vs Albazi Odds Can’t Split Main Event

UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas

Bookmakers can’t split Kara-France vs Albazi odds for this Saturday’s main event, which should make for an exciting fight.

It’s a highly anticipated fight on the UFC schedule as New Zealand’s Kai Kara-France (24-10) faces 16-1 fighter Amir Albazi.

UFC odds have them at -115 in a fight could could shape their MMA careers.

Kara-France on Comeback Trail

Kara-France is the star of a TV documentary in New Zealand, so there are high expectations of his UFC career.

The 30-year-old has suffered 10 losses throughout his career, but despite those setbacks, he keeps bouncing back and proving he’s worthy of being in the main event.

His most recent fight was a close to Brandon Moreno at UFC 277 in the co-main event. He was knocked out in the third round, but credit to Kara-France for even getting the opportunity.

It followed a decision win over Askar Askarov, who had only one loss on his record at the time. However, his best win came when beating former champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269, and that form makes him tough to beat, which is why the Kara-France vs Albazi odds could be worth taking.

He has been inspired by team and countryman Israel Adesanya.

“Izzy going out there and shocking the world. One of the biggest moments in our generation for combat sport, knocking out Alex Pereira and the way he did, you couldn’t write a better script,” Kara-France said.

“And I take away so much from that just because the mental focus and the kind of character Izzy has is just amazing. Never once did he ever say ‘I can’t beat this guy’. And in his head, he’s always known that ‘I can get it back’.”

Getting -115 for a fighter like Kara-France is good shopping. Albazi might be a tough customer, but Kara-France’s experience in title fights could give him the deciding edge on Saturday.

Albazi Rising the Ranks

Iraqi superstar Albazi has only one loss on his record and he’s hoping it stays that way.

The 29-year-old entered the UFC in 2020 with a submission win over Malcolm Gordon before scoring a submission victory against Zhaglas Zhumagulov.

We weren’t overly impressed with those victories, but we liked what we saw when he submitted the tricky Francisco Figueiredo. That was always going to be a tough fight, but the flyweight was too strong in the grappling department.

He then showed his striking power when knocking out Alessandro Costa, which is why Kara-France vs Albazi odds are giving him plenty of respect.

He doesn’t have the same level of opposition as Kara-France, but he’s making his way up the ranks, so he must be respected.

“After this fight, they’re going to know I’m next. I know I’m next. I want to fight in Abu Dhabi for the title. I’m going to finish Kai this Saturday night, then I’m going to see how it plays out with Pantoja vs. Moreno. Either one, may the best man win, and I’m next in Abu Dhabi,” Albazi said.

He’s a confident fighter with many facets to his game, so he could be the next man to stop Kara-France.
