Moldovan Favored with Lewis vs Spivak Betting Odds

The Hands Will Fly in Las Vegas

Sergey Spivak is the dominant favorite with Lewis vs Spivak betting odds for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. Derrick Lewis hasn’t been at his devastating best of late, but he’s only one punch away from turning off the lights for Spivak.

UFC Fight Night odds have Lewis at +160 to cause an upset, so he is being respected for the heavyweight fight.

Lewis Needs to Refocus

Being the ‘nice guy’ of the UFC isn’t working for Lewis at the moment. He comes off two poor losses to Tai Tuivasa and Sergei Pavlovich, so he needs to refocus.

The danger of facing Lewis is that he can end the fight with one punch. He ended Alexander Volkov with just 11 seconds left in his fight, so if he can get back to that form, he’s a danger to Spivak.

However, there’s a strong chance we get the lazy Lewis on display. He lasted just 55 seconds against Pavlovich, but one thing is for sure, the fight won’t go the distance.

Lewis vs Spivak betting odds show +700 for the fight to go the distance, so someone is hitting the canvas, and for Lewis’s sake, he can’t afford another knockout loss.

His career could be on the line this Saturday and the 37-year-old can’t take too many more hits to the head.

“I don’t want to think about it because this year has not been my year,” Lewis told MMA Junkie. “It would be good if I could keep the streak going, but this year hasn’t been my year and I want to end the year off with a bang and it would be great to get a win here in Vegas.”

UFC this weekend promises to deliver and fight fans would love to see Lewis keep his career afloat.

Spivak is the Real Deal

Spivak is mucking around when it comes to putting up wins in the heavyweight division. The 27-year-old is 15-3 after making easy work of Augusto Sakai in August and he’s eyeing another easy knockout win over Lewis.

He also owns knockout wins over Greg Hardy, Jared Vanderaa, and a submission win over Tuivasa in 2019. The Moldovan has been on a tear in 2022 and he would love to end the year 3-0 with three knockouts.

There has been an insane amount of money for Spivak, who surprisingly opened as the underdog with Lewis vs Spivak betting odds; however, the market adjusted accordingly and Spivak has been heavily backed since.

There is no way Spivak should have been listed as the underdog given his form, despite how dangerous Lewis can be. We thought Spivak could have been around -250 for this fight, but the -140 to win by knockout or submission is good shopping.

Spivak has the ability to go more rounds than Lewis, so if it somehow went five rounds, which we highly doubt, Spivak should have the fitness edge.
