Sterling vs Cejudo

Day/Time: Location: Prudential Center

Sterling a Value Dog?

Despite being the reigning champion in Sterling vs Cejudo betting markets, Aljamain Sterling is still considered one of the most underrated fighters in recent history.

At -110 to defend his title, he has consistently proven his worth in the Octagon, displaying an impressive level of toughness and skill that has left many fans and critics alike in awe.

One of Sterling’s most notable victories came at UFC 273, where he defeated Petr Yan in a highly anticipated bout. Sterling showcased his resilience and determination, refusing to back down even when the odds were stacked against him.

He then went on to successfully defend his title at UFC 280 against T.J. Dillashaw, who many believed would pose a significant challenge to Sterling’s reign. However, Sterling once again proved his mettle, making Dillashaw look second-rate and cementing his status as one of the top fighters in the division.

Despite his impressive record of 22-3, Sterling is not the most beloved fighter on the UFC roster. However, his track record speaks for itself, and he should be considered a favorite for this upcoming fight.

The 33-year-old has been known to talk a bit of game, which is to be expected from a champion of his caliber.

“There’s no animosity, I don’t want that to come off that way. I’m not trying to force anything. I’m not trying to fake anything [but] the guy talks a lot,” Sterling said. “Sat on the sidelines and talked so much s*** and criticized everybody. No disrespect but it’s almost like what Khabib [Nurmagomedov] did.”

Cejudo Dominant in Division

There is a lot of buzz surrounding Henry Cejudo in the UFC odds and for good reason. He is currently on a six-fight winning streak that began with a victory over Wilson Reis in 2017.

His most recent win against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 further solidified his status as a top contender, with a late second-round knockout of the aging fighter.

Cejudo’s record speaks for itself, having also knocked out Dillashaw and Marlon Moraes in 2022, demonstrating his dominance in the division. However, Sterling poses a unique challenge for the fighter, with a significant height and reach advantage that could prove to be difficult for Cejudo to overcome.

As a result, we believe that Cejudo should be the underdog in this fight. While he has the potential to win over five rounds, he will need to dig deep.

Despite his current success in the bantamweight division, Cejudo has already set his sights on another potential opponent, Sean O’Malley. While this shows his ambition and desire to continue climbing the ranks, his focus should be solely on his upcoming match against Sterling.

“[Aljamain] Sterling, stay tuned — now your time is running out!” Cejudo declared. “May 6 is right around the corner. Go out and get your little thong ready, your nice little dress ready. Because I’m taking you out first, and then I’m going after Ronald McDonald. That’s right, Sean O’Malley, he’s next, that dirty Q-tip. And after that the real goal.”

Sterling vs Cejudo odds might have it the wrong way around, so take the value available.
