Showboats vs Panthers

The Showboats (1-6) have lost six straight since their Week 1 win and rank last in the UFL in both total offense (232.9 yards per game) and total defense (350.7 yards allowed per game). They have given up 30-plus points in five consecutive games on the UFL schedule 2024, including a season-high 47 in a Week 7 loss to Arlington.

With three weeks remaining, they’re simply playing out the string. Keep that in mind when assessing the UFL Week 8 odds.

Meanwhile, things have gone much better for the Panthers. Winners of three straight, the Panthers (5-2) have seen their UFL title odds climb from +1300 to +900.

The Panthers have the league’s second-best rushing offense, averaging 119.4 yards per game. Matthew Colburn II surpassed that by himself (16 carries, 137 yards) in last week’s 22-9 win over D.C.

Roughnecks vs Stallions

RoughnecksStallions
Spread+16-16
Moneyline+1000-1800
TotalOver 43Under 43
It’s a lost season for the Roughnecks (1-6). Losers of three straight, they share the UFL’s worst record with Memphis and Arlington.
The offense has been a big issue, with the Roughnecks averaging a league-low 13.7 points. They are the only team yet to crack 100 points for the season. The Stallions, on the other hand, are the league’s only remaining unbeaten at 7-0. Their UFL title odds have climbed from +300 to -145, the shortest on the board.
Dual-threat quarterback Adrian Martinez came up big in last week’s 30-26 win over St. Louis, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns on 21 of 33 passing. Martinez also ran for 60 yards on seven attempts.

The Defenders are still in the mix at 3-4, though their UFL title odds have plummeted from +380 to +3000. They’ve dropped three of their last four games, including a 22-9 loss to Michigan last week.

Jordan Ta’amu, the reigning XFL Offensive Player of the Year, has struggled with his efficiency (54.9 completion rate).

Despite losing last week, St. Louis (5-2) remains the biggest threat in the UFL ranking to Birmingham with +230 title odds. The Battlehawks are averaging a healthy 28.4 points per game, led by A.J. McCarron. A former three-time NCAA champion at Alabama, McCarron has thrown a league-high 14 touchdowns compared to only three interceptions.

Arlington halted its dreadful 0-6 start with a 47-23 win over Memphis last week. Luis Perez threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns on 27 of 32 passing, while De’Veon Smith ran for 101 yards and two scores.

San Antonio — which beat Arlington 25-15 just two weeks ago — has the inside track on the last playoff spot. The Brahmas (5-2) are balanced, ranking third in both total offense (284.3 yards per game) and total defense (261.1 yards allowed per game) among UFL teams.

Running back John Lovett is tied for the league lead among UFL players with six touchdowns.
