Washington Huskies 2023 Future Odds
The Huskies are coming off their first winning ATS season since 2019

The Washington Huskies finished the 2023 season 11-2 and 7-2 in the Pac-12. It was a seven-win improvement over 2022 when they finished 4-8. Head Coach Kalen Deboer is heading into his second season after getting the school back to a bowl game after a two-year absence under Jimmy Lake, a 27-20 Alamo Bowl win against Texas. Despite the winning ATS season, the Huskies are still just 24-30 against the number since 2018.

Penix To Lead One Of The Nation’s Best Offenses
The Washington Huskies future odds are +4000 to win the National Championship. They’re among the favorites to win the title, but it’s hard to ignore an offense that finished tops in the country with 377 passing yards per game. Overall the Huskies were second in the country with over 512 total yards per game, averaging 40.8 points per game (ranked 4th).
Washington finished just one game behind the USC Trojans for the top spot in the Pac-12, tied with Utah and Oregon for second in the Pac-12 NCAAF standings. Washington will continue their climb to the top of the conference with most of their team intact from last year’s squad. The only question heading into camp is whether the Huskies can replace three starters along the offensive line.
Judging from their first few days of practice, this OL will be more than capable of protecting Michael Penix. If the Huskies want to catapult themselves into the National Championship conversation, they’ll have to improve on a defense that allowed 26.3 points per game (63rd) and 241.8 passing yards per game (90th).
Reports are the defensive line, and linebackers will be solid so that the pressure will be a below-average secondary step up in 2023. Penix will enjoy a receiving corp that features two 1,000 yards receivers in Rome Odunze (1,145 yards) and Jalen McMillan (1,098).
The Huskies welcome new additions, including former Mississippi State running back Dillon Johnson and former Michigan State receiver Germie Bernard. It’s not inconceivable that Washington might be even better than they were last year, but unless the secondary improves, they’ll find themselves in too many shootouts. We continue our Washington Huskies’ future odds preview by looking at their chances of winning a title this season.
National Championship Odds: One Year Away from Consideration
A terrific signal-caller is half the battle for teams hoping to win a championship. For us, Washington is one year away from being among our NCAAF picks to compete for gold in January. Bookmakers’ respect for the Huskies is evident after opening at +10000 to win the National Championship in 2022.
This year, Washington opened at +3000, which was moved to +4000 after LSU’s future money pushed them up the list to +1200 after opening at +2000. We’re massive fans of the Huskies’ direction, but as far as taking a chance on a future wager, we can’t pull the trigger. We continue our Washington Huskies’ future odds preview by looking at their chances of winning the Pac-12.
Conference Odds: At +320, The Huskies Are Worth A Shot
NCAAF games at Husky Stadium are going to be a fun experience in 2023, but does that fun include a crucial win against the Oregon Ducks at home and a road showdown with USC? Washington was favored in each of their games against their 2023 opponents in their last meeting and would have been a perfect 11-0 had they not stumbled against Arizona State (45-38) as a 13 ½ point favorite. The Huskies are a combined 6-5 ATS against their 2023 opponents when compiling their record from their recent meeting.
Regular Season Wins: Washington To Play In Major Bowl With 9 Wins
We know that after a team wins 11 games, the fan base expects a run at a national championship the following season. We’re not tooting our horns, but we’re on a four-year run of successful season-win total wagers on the Huskies. Last year was easy when the oddsmakers sent out 6 ½ as a projected win total. The Huskies won 11 in what was one of the most straightforward preseason wagers of 2022.
We’re not as confident this season but much more than other win total selections. The +110 over (9.5) is begging the public to take the over, but we think the Huskies will have a few losses with games against Oregon and USC, plus their opening game against Boise State isn’t a guarantee. We also can’t gloss over a trip to East Lansing to take on Michigan State in week three. We think three losses are in the forecast; we bet the under 9 ½ wins.
To Make The Playoffs: Many Teams To Climb Over For Washington
The Huskies are -1000 to make the playoffs. With odds like that, the bookmakers agree that Washington’s best chances of playing a game in the first week of January are a year away after USC and UCLA leave for the Big 10. That does it for our Washington Huskies’ future odds preview. We wish you all the best with your wagers this season.
