He will need to learn to throw the ball away and play smarter if he is to succeed, though, with his gunslinging tendencies getting him into trouble against even the weakest defenses. He does have a true number 1 in Terry McLaurin, who signed a contract extension in the summer. Also catching passes are Dotson and Samuel, both capable catchers.

Washington has won 16 games to Atlanta’s 10 in this series. Washington also won the last meeting in 2021 34-30.
