Ravens vs New York Jets Highlights
Week 1 begins for these two with a clash rich in backstory and unknowns. The Ravens look to start the season hoping to bury the awful injury issues that ruined their 2021 campaign, and the New York Jets have all fingers crossed for their 2nd year QB Zach Wilson, who has his own injury woes. Check out the updated NFL injury report.Â
Both of these teams finished with losing seasons last year, with the Ravens recording an 8-9 and the Jets a disappointing 4-13. The side from Charm City was cursed with some terrible luck when it came to injuries, with starting running backs, cornerbacks, and linemen all ruled out early on. Superstar Quarterback Lamar Jackson spent the majority of the year on the sidelines, as well. Now, with a strong roster, they will hope they can turn it around and climb back up to the top of the AFC North.
The Jets suffered last season from inconsistent quarterback play and a serious lack of star power. While they remain in a rebuilding phase, they will want an uptick in results to show for their investment in a new coach, new QB, and new offensive weapons over the last few seasons.
As for the NFL betting odds, it’s unclear whether the Jets can rely on their second-year signal caller Wilson, who suffered an injury in Week one of the preseason. Either way, those who bet on NFL games will see the Baltimore Ravens as favorites, even on the road in Week 1 of the season. Should the young Wilson not make the starting line-up, the Ravens will be forced to use a veteran such as Joe Flacco, so expect a comfortable win for the men in purple when the Ravens vs Jets matchup comes around.
