Bengals vs Buccaneers Highlights
Last year’s Super Bowl runner-up plays the previous season’s Super Bowl Champion in this high-octane Week 15 encounter. Both teams have a great selection of wideouts, but who will come out on top? We examine all the battles and see how the NFL betting odds are projecting this one.
The Cincinnati Bengals is a team that has shown remarkable growth in recent years. They went from being one of the least interesting teams in the NFL to being the first team mentioned in many people’s postseason forecasts under the direction of Zac Taylor and the development of gunslinger Joe Burrow. Burrow will hope to maintain his 2021 form, in which he led the league in both passing efficiency and yards per attempt. Burrow isn’t the only offensive hopeful they have, either. Chase, Higgins, and Mixon are all solid options.
Tom Brady, the NFL’s oldest and best quarterback, is going up against one of the league’s most exciting young quarterbacks. After losing in the playoffs to the Rams in January, Brady seemed ready to retire, but he ultimately reversed his decision and returned for another run at the Super Bowl.
Last season, Brady easily led the league in passing yards, so it will be exciting to see if he can keep up that pace against a strong Bengals defense. In addition to Leonard Fournette, he also has wide receivers Godwin, Evans, and Jones to help him rack up those big yards.
Recent matchups between these two teams have been close affairs, with the Ohio team coming out on top both times by a combined total of 4 points (in 2014 and 2018). To date, there have only been 12 games played between these two teams, but Tampa holds a slim 7-5 advantage.
If you bet on NFL games, which way should you play Bengals vs Buccaneers? Expect a close game between the two, but never write off Tom Brady at home, so back the Bucs to get the W here.
