Colts vs Vikings Highlights

The Indianapolis Colts are up against the Minnesota Vikings in this Week 15 battle. The Colts are coming off a bye week, so they will be well rested for this test. We look at the NFL betting odds for this game as well as some interesting facts about the two teams.

The Colts have gone through a number of quarterbacks in recent years, and this year they are depending on the aging arm of Matt Ryan to lead them to the postseason.

They were the division favorites going into the season, partly because the training camp gossip around the former MVP was so promising. DeForest Buckner and Darius Shaquille Leonard are the cornerstones of a powerful defense. With the addition of the leading rusher for 2021, Jonathan Taylor, they should have enough to trouble the Vikings’ defense, which was third-worst in yards per game allowed in 2021.

While the Vikings didn’t exactly fail under former coach Mike Zimmer, they lacked a competitive edge and decided to fire him in the off-season. Despite having the 12th-ranked offense, their defense was weak, coming in 9th last in terms of points allowed. Kirk Cousins and the defense will need to work on their relationship, according to new coach Kevin O’Connell. Could they use this strategy to defeat the Colts this weekend?

Looking at the head-to-head series, this is a pretty one-sided contest. While they don’t often meet, the Colts have won 6 games in a row, with the last win for the Vikes coming in 1997. They last met in 2020 when the Colts won easily 28-11. Taylor topped 100 yards that day with a TD, so he will remember that contest fondly this week. If you bet on NFL games, how should you play it? Go with another Colts win, who should be able to use Taylor again to come away with a road W.
