Jaguars vs Lions Highlights
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be hoping that the firing of Urban Meyer will feel like a distant memory by this point. Their new head coach Doug Pederson has finally turned things around for the team from Duval. The Super Bowl champion manager should be a huge help to Trevor Lawrence, a second-year quarterback whose potential knows no bounds. They also signed wide receiver Christian Kirk to a lucrative contract, and they’re hoping he, along with Marvin Jones, can help them outgrow last year’s 27th-ranked offense.
The Detroit Lions appear to be a squad at least halfway through a rebuild. In spite of the 2021 campaign getting off to a rough start, there was genuine optimism when they defeated a weakened Packers in the season finale. Aidan Hutchinson, a local star, was selected with the second overall pick in the draft. He appears to be well-positioned to provide coach Dan Campbell’s squad some firepower and ferocity. In addition, they selected Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams to support their selection of Hutchinson. Williams should assist Jared Goff in regaining the form that earned him that huge deal once upon a time in LA.
Both of these teams finished last season in the bottom ten for both defensive points allowed and offensive yards. The two of them are hoping for a turnaround and an increase in their respective rankings. The Lions dominated their most recent matchup in 2020, winning by a score of 34-16.
If you bet on NFL games, which way should you go? Favor the home team to get the job done and for it to be a low-scoring affair.
