The Texans welcome the Los Angeles Chargers back to the NRG stadium after an impressive victory on Boxing Day last year. The Chargers will be looking for revenge in a matchup that ultimately dented their 2021 playoff hopes, despite the odds being stacked against the home team at playstart.

Chargers vs Texans Highlights
Those looking to bet on NFL games might consider this one of the easier calls of the game week, with the Texans relying on a QB roster that is yet to prove itself and the second worse defense in the league last season. They come up against a phenomenal talent in third-year Chargers QB Justin Herbert, whose rookie year saw him break records for most passing and total touchdowns, and whose second year saw him complete 38 passing touchdowns.
As if the offensive threat of Herbert wasn’t enough, the Texans secondary will have to find a way to stop receiving duo Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, as well as the impressive Austin Ekeler in the backfield. A star-packed defense also lies in wait on the other side of the ball, in the form of leading pass rusher Joey Bosa and safety Derwin James Jr.
It’s hard to see how the home team might approach the Los Angeles Chargers vs Houston Texans. QB Davis Mills will look to the strength of Laremy Tunsil to ease the threat of Bosa and new acquisition Khalil Mack but will need to make use of Brandin Cooks in a receiving corps that otherwise lacks experience.
A road win looks to be the safe bet, and those feeling more adventurous might wish to bank in on 1+ sacks from Joey Bosa after a missed opportunity last season due to being on the COVID list.
