New York Jets vs Steelers Highlights
Gang Green makes the short trip to Pennsylvania and Steel City for the matchup of New York Jets vs Pittsburgh Steelers. How do the NFL betting odds see this Week 4 matchup going, and if you bet on NFL games, where should you put your money?
With second-year QB Zach Wilson suffering from a torn meniscus in the first preseason game, Jets coach Robert Saleh will have to choose between 37-year-old veteran Joe Flacco or last year’s 1-game superstar Mike White. Flacco has all the experience and a Super Bowl trophy on his side, but White arguably offers more of a flashy upside. Either way, the Jets won’t want the season to be derailed by poor quarterbacking early on, so whoever gets the start will be under pressure to deliver. Week 4 won’t be an easy test, with TJ Watt being one of the best pass rushers in the league on the other side.
The Steelers are a team which, unlike the Jets, is used to success. Coach Mike Tomlin has never had a losing record since he has been at the helm, and he will want to keep that record going this season. The Antonio Brown saga aside, Tomlin may never again have as difficult a job as he does in 2022. Big Ben is gone, and in his place is a smorgasbord of options under center. There is a good chance this Steelers team will only go as far as the QB will take them, so getting it right is a priority for a good run.
As you would expect for teams with very different records of success, the Steelers own the head-to-head between these two teams, 20-6. The Jets did triumph in their last contest, prevailing 16-10 on a cold December day in New York in 2019. Expect the Steelers to have too much for NY here, though, and to win this one, very likely by a comfortable margin.
