Seahawks vs Lions Highlights

The Seattle Seahawks enter this season in a new era. All-time franchise QB Russell Wilson was sent to Denver in exchange for a bevy of draft picks, and Coach Pete Carroll looks like he has asserted his control over the Washington state franchise. While the divorce ultimately worked for both sides, it has left Seattle without a definite starting QB, with all signs pointing to Geno Smith getting the start early on. Can he keep the Hawks in the playoff race long-term?

The Detroit Lions have been a lost franchise for too long. While Matthew Stafford brought some light when he teamed up with Calvin Johnson, those days seem long ago, and the playoffs a distant dream. Head Coach Dan Campbell has tried to change all that. With a culture shift to one of fire, fight, and kneecap-biting, Campbell is hoping they are the NFC North’s whipping boys no longer.

Seattle leads the all-time head-to-head 11-5 and registered an almighty blowout in last season’s matchup. They recorded a 50 burger in a 51-29 in week 17 in Seattle, with QB Wilson throwing for 4 TDs and Rashaad Penny logging two scores at running back.

Who should you bet on for this NFL game? While Seattle is much changed from last season’s beatdown, they should be able to take care of the Lions again, albeit with a closer score. In this matchup, we suggest going for a Seahawk win, but only by less than 10 this time around.
