Los Angeles Chargers History
The Los Angeles Chargers were founded in 1959, playing their first season in the AFL in 1960. However, after just one season in Los Angeles, the team would relocate to San Diego, CA, winning an AFL championship in 1963. The Chargers reached their first and only Super Bowl in 1995, losing 49-26 to the San Francisco 49ers. The Chargers decided to move back to Los Angeles after 56 seasons in San Diego in 2017.
