Jake Paul Is Ready to Fight Again

The Fight Is Taking Place In Puerto Rico On March 2 But No Opponent Has Been Announced

No Rest for the Wicked

Jake Paul makes it easy for his critics because he’s talked a lot of sh*t. I’ll put my hands right up; I’ve often discouraged his boxing tenure and criticized some of the circus shows he’s previously been involved in. However, I’ll always call a spade a spade, and there are just some factors you can’t knock the kid for.

One of the said factors is the work rate we’re currently experiencing. And despite fighting on December 15, Jake Paul has already booked another fight scheduled for March 2.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Amanda Serrano will compete in a women’s featherweight unification bout versus Nina Meinke in the evening’s main event. Still, the Jake Paul fight, which hasn’t yet announced an opponent for the social media superstar, will play as the event’s co-main contest.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the boxing promotion founded by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in 2021, signed Serrano to their rankings and has since elevated the interest in women’s boxing. However, another MVP signing will debut under the promotion’s banner for the March 2 event at the El Coliseo De Puerto Rico, San Juan.

If you’ve ever watched the HBO hit series Euphoria, and you’re over the age of 21, shame on you. That said, you’ll instantly recognize the face of Wanna Walton. Despite being famed for his portrayal of Ashtray in Euphoria, he’s boxed his entire life, albeit a short one at 17 years old. But now, with more intrigue added to the MVP event, alongside Serrano and Paul, Walton will make his pro debut in front of the Puerto Rican crowd.

Boxing news has been overrun with social media influencers and low-level bouts over the past three to four years. But for Paul, he’s put those gimmick contests aside and is now taking a route similar to that of a legitimate pro boxer.

We recently witnessed this for the first time when Paul took his first loss to Tommy Fury. This, however, didn’t deter the Ohio native. He signed up to compete against another pro boxer, Andre August and sent this man to the shadow realm via first-round knockout earlier this month.

It would seem that August is now stuck in December. But for Paul, announcing his return to the ring just nine days following this impressive KO is commendable.

In my closing statement, sure, we know boxing rumors will continue to pick holes in the opposition level Paul is matched with, but look at any high-profile professional boxer, and the win/loss records are extremely questionable. Like it or not, all of your favorite boxing greats have padded their record at times.
