R. Union Saint-Gilloise Betting Stats

Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is over 120 years old and is from the Brussels area. The club was founded in 1897, and USG first played in the first division of Belgian soccer in 1901. The first Belgian championship in the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise team stats was in 1904. They ended up winning four of the next five titles to close out the first decade of the century.

USG completed their first domestic double in 1913 by winning both the Belgian First Division and the Belgian Cup. They won three consecutive titles, for the second time, in 1933, 1934 and 1935.

They managed to reach the semifinals of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup by defeating Leipzig and Roma.

In 1963, USG were relegated to the second tier and didn’t return to the Belgian Pro League until the 2020s. The catalyst for their return was Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. owner Tony Bloom’s purchase of the club. In 2021, Union Saint-Gilloise won the Belgian Challenger Pro League title to return to the top flight. Incredibly, in their first top-flight season in 48 years, Union Saint-Gilloise were the regular season champions of the Belgian Pro League.
