Their first match ended with a 6-1 win in the Legia Warsawa stats. They finished fifth in their first Polish Football League season and nearly won titles in 1930 and 1931. In 1936, though, Legia were relegated for the first and only time in team history. They eventually returned to the top flight after WWII and improved in the 50s.
Legia Warsawa finished third place in the Polish soccer league in 1951 and first reached the Polish Cup final in 1952. The first trophy in the Legia Warszawa stats was a Polish Cup trophy in 1955. Afterward, Legia frequently won the Polish Cup but didn’t win the soccer league again until 1994. 2010 onward has been one of the best periods in club history. Over the last 12 years, they’ve won the Polish Ekstraklasa seven times and the Polish Cup six times. Hence, they’ve been frequent competitors in European competitions.
In recent seasons, though, Legia Warsawa have struggled to move past the qualifying stage of UEFA competitions. The 2021 Europa League group stage was their first group stage appearance since 2016. In 2021-22, betting advice warned against taking Legia on the road. They won an abysmal three of 17 matches away from home in the Ekstraklasa.
With a 10th place league finish in 2021-22, Legia Warsawa missed out on European competition entirely for the first time since the 2009-10 season; thus, it’s not possible to bet on Legia Warsawa’s Europa League odds in 2022-23.
